Takai Tengoku is a isolated island, where the vast oceans that surround it prevent it from receiving much in the way of outside contact. For centuries, the Island has seen war, prosperity, and destruction. Even now, the 4 nations that make up the island prepare for war.

The Lakko Shogunate rule over the entire island, for now. Deep cultures and tradition run through each of these unique nations, and each seek to full unify the island, as was done 300 years ago by the legendary Ishibashi Lakko, and his martial Chang Jian.

Now, a new era begins on the island. Shogun Kano Taikan has taken leadership over Lakko Shogunate, at the tender age of 16. Controlled by the corrupt regent Kido Genichi, unrest and corruption spread across the island. Already the Yellow Turbans revolt against the Shogun, there numbers growing by the day.

Will the Island stay united, or will the Shogunate rip apart, with warlords and governors vying for power in a every fragmenting Empire.
