  • Follow all of the server rules in the MOTD.
  • Maintain a calm and easygoing attitude on the server. Remember it's just a game, and don't rage, especially not in chat or over voice.
  • Don't badmouth other players, the server, or the community. Players are listening and will follow your example. If you have a complaint, bring it to one of the superadmins.
  • Don't joke or pretend that you're going to ban someone, etc. if they haven't done anything wrong. You might know you're not going to do it, but the players don't.
  • If someone is breaking the rules, consult the admin action table and do what it says. Get back to playing the game when you're done.
  • Don't air your dirty laundry with other players or admins on the server. Don't contradict other admins about admin action in chat or voice. Use Steam chat or Mumble.
  • If an admin is breaking the code of conduct, document it and remind them (nicely) over Steam chat, not in server. If it is particularly egregious, e.g., banning every player who connects to the server, message the superadmins.
  • If another admin tells you to do something, you should probably do it. If a superadmin tells you to do something, make sure it gets done.
  • Try to connect to the server for at least an hour every couple of days. Admins who rarely connect or who do not connect for an extended period of time (weeks) without notice can and will be removed. If you're going on leave, throw Lapper a message.
  • The silly SourceMod commands (drugs, noclip, slap, etc.) are never to be used by admins for any reason, especially not when other players are on the server. Document and report any instance of an admin using these commands.

On racial slurs

Exactly what slurs are banned from chat has been a matter of some contention, so I've installed a chat filter to do most of the dirty work automatically. Of particular note is that the n-word, n***er is banned, but "♥♥♥♥♥" is not. My apologies for any confusion.
