The Army of Northern Virginia

This army has comanders that rival General Stone Wall Jackson, and General Robert E. Lee.

Hello, and thank you for joining this group. Any friend of the south is a friend of mine, since you joined this group im going to tell you a little bit about it.

The Army of Northern Virginia was first named The Army of The Patomac after the Patomac River. It had many Great Generals such as General Stone Wall Jackson, General James Longstreet, and the ever famous General Robert E. Lee.

General Robert E. Lee was the comander of the army and listened to everything Stone Wall Jackson had to say. When Jackson died from friendly fire just 3 month befor The Battle of Gettysburg, Longstreet was Lee's best corp comander. James Longstreet was a defencive comander not an offencive one, so he did'nt plan out a good attack a Gettysburg. 15,000 people went out 7,500 came back. Most of them where in General Pickets Division so the fight became known as Pickets Charge.

Gettysburg was the downfall of the south, but the south won The Battle of The Wilderness a few months after their defeat at Gettysburg

So if we fight as good as the south, this will be the best group ever!!!
