In an industry dominated by gigantic multi-national corporations, QPAD is a breath of fresh air. The story of QPAD started in Stockholm, Sweden, back in 1992 when computer enthusiast and hardcore gamer Christer Kornback founded the company. The idea Christer had was to produce high-quality mouse pads suitable for gaming. Back in those days, gamers had no choice but to use standard office-grade mice and mouse pads.

In 1997, one of the World’s first eSport events was held in Stockholm; the Swedish Quake Championships. Christer - being a prominent member of the Swedish online gaming scene - was asked to produce a custom-sized mouse pad, considerably larger than the models available at the time. This was the birth of the first piece of premium eSport equipment designed with only gaming in mind. The mouse pad was the core of the QPAD product line for years, as the small one-man-business grew in both size and fame, earning respect amongst eSport athletes, gamers and computer enthusiasts all over the world.

Now QPAD has widened the product line to also include award-winning gaming-grade mice, headsets and keyboards. These include the World’s first mechanical gaming keyboard offering full NKRO through usb only, (QPAD MK-85) and the first laser gaming mouse actually usable for professional gaming purposes (QPAD 5K). With the launch of the QPAD Professional Gaming Headset 1339 the company further consolidated its place as a leading provider of premium gaming gear. Tonight is the premier for the weekly TV show QPAD King of Nordic with 6000 USD in prize pool
QPAD in co-operation with Samsung, BeQuiet, Webhallen, Esport.dk, Publiclir.se, Gamermag.no and Sett.fi today announce a new Counter strike:Global offensive TV show named “QPAD King of Nordic” a King of the hill style tournament between the Nordic countries.
The format is a weekly King of the hill tournament in CS:GO between the Nordic countries. Each nation holds a local qualifier to determine who will represent their nation in the weekly live broadcasted TV show “QPAD King Of Nordic”. The first show starts tonight at 19:00 CET and will be broadcasted weekly every Tuesday at the same time.
Every week a nation manage to withhold the throne their prize pool accumulates with 500 USD and products. The total prize pool is 6000 USD + loads of products.
Audience raffles and quiz contests
QPAD King of Nordic promises to offer a lot of goodies and prices for the audience in quiz and raffles during the live show.
The return of “The Swede” and “Yankman”
The QPAD King of Nordic TV show marks the comeback of the legendary show-casters; Rikard “The swede” Franzen and Chris “Yankman” Schetter from TGBF.tv. who was pioneers in the early days of eSport broadcasting, with over a thousand of live streams in their portfolio. For people who remember them it's with a smile in their face.
Their old school flavour of colouring and entertain the viewers have amused thousands of gamers worldwide. If we know these guys correct you better watch it LIVE, they're known for losing their vods!
