Here's how to play:

1. Download the game. No installation, no cracks, ~220mb. (Same archive, two mirrors)

2. Ask for an invite to the steam group through the group chat. It's private so that anyone can rally players to a lobby through announcements.

3. Though users can create ad-hoc Hamachi networks, we'll be using these ones to avoid confusion:

And so on. The passwords are as always, rage.

If you don't know what Hamachi is, it's an application which allows you to virtually join a LAN. Apparently version 1.0.1.3 works better than all the others, but your results may vary.

This game isn't as easy as the ones you see coming out these days. While the tutorial helps a lot with familiarizing players with the controls and gadgets, it doesn't teach them the tricks of the trade. If you still can't see games, it's a hamachi version conflict. And sometimes, hamachi just plain hates you for no reason. Sorry about that. =/

Newer graphics cards have a problem with this engine, particularly nVidia 8xxx series cards. It's no problem though - you can either try to fix it as seen here: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3651075192/m/2341004007 - or you could do the better thing and learn to use your superior vision modes instead of your flashlight.
