I've already beaten the original on PS3 and 4, as well as Royal on PS4, so I will mainly be critiquing this based on the quality of the port and other changes made to the original. If it's not already evident, I like the game quite a lot.

The port overall runs fine overall, with some odd dips in areas with lots of NPCs like Shibuya (and I'm assuming Kichijoji later on in the game is the same), that seem to be CPU related as changing the graphical changes doesn't affect performance what so ever.
I would've expected slightly better performance on a system with a 5600x, RTX 3070, and an NVMe m.2 SSD.
But hey, at least in less densely packed areas I can manage 4k 120fps just fine on my 3070!

The textures appear to be AI upscaled, which does help with sharpness in some regards, like with the bustup images for characters heads, etc, but also has some side effects like weird color banding issues in some scenes. I think it would've been better to go with a more selective approach rather than just upscaling all the textures, as it negatively affects some of them.

However, I think this is overall a decently competent port that delivers a version of the game that's improved over the PS4 version. The new console versions seem fairly decent as well, but I think the PC version is definitely the superior version of the game.

Given the games overall reputation I think it's good to go in with your expectations in check, the beginning is a bit of a drag and it takes a while for the game to get going, but it's absolutely worth giving a shot at least.
