Had someone told me I'd dump over 400 hours into FT when I bought it, I'd have thought they were mad. It's just such a zen game though, no timers outside of those tracking crop, tree, and animal harvest readiness. Quests exist, but you can follow them or not. Multiplayer has always felt like the main focus, but apart from a couple dozen hours all my time has been logged tending to my own farm.

There are a few things I dislike about the game though. Time-limited seasonal events are very geared towards multiplayer most of the time, but even if you have friends looking to earn the reward items spam planting and harvesting can still take hours every day over the course of a couple weeks. The other complaint is a weird one, the online community surrounding FT can be weirdly hostile to both new and seasoned players so don't be surprised if you're met with a racist or homophobic tirade in a chat window or two - idk why this happens, but it does.

Wondering about the DLC? I have all of it as of March 2020. It's...nice, but a little overpriced as a few packs feel rather lacking in content. I suggest waiting for a deep discount on the complete your collection bundle during the summer or winter Steam sale.
