Oh.... I don't know why I asked you that. What handgun would you recommend for home defense? Only handguns --- I'm not willing to deal with a shotgun (or rifle) by my bed.

I'm thinking something like a .22 or .25. I know what you're thinking, but if a guy knows how to shoot, he can put a bullet where he wants, and I would prefer to wound a man rather than kill him, given the outrageous nature of tort law at this time in America.
