Cannot recommend this game enough, I went from hating MMOs to this becoming my main game. No subscription fee, a fun and engaging combat system, wicked mounts, changing loadouts and builds easily and being able to earn/buy everything in game besides expansions!

Despite saying it's unsupported on Steam Deck, it runs incredibly well! Many community layouts manage to map buttons out very well, and sometimes feels even easier to play on Deck than a normal computer.

Only downside is the Steam version uses your Steam login instead of an arenanet account, but that can be fixed in the launch settings on Steam to use the provider portal.

Incredible game and in my opinion a must play game for anyone that enjoys action RPGs. Game feels intense and rewarding for mastering weapons, has near infinite things to do, allowing even thousands of hours without feeling like wasted time, and Coop is massively enjoyable for friends and strangers alike. Only real criticism is that story is lacklustre and needing to wait for all cutscenes in a quest before joining a friend is annoying.

Pros:
- Gameplay is solid
- Hundreds to Thousands of hours of gameplay
- Mastering a weapon is hard but very satisfying
- Coop is very fun, game encourages playing with others
- Monsters are fun and unique, various ways to fight and unique armor sets
- Customization is deep; layered armor allowing you to look how you like, and gems allowing great skill customziation

Cons:
- Story is lacklustre
- Playing with a friend through the story is annoying with cutscenes
- RNG for rewards and gems can be frustrating
