The Best Zombie/Horde Shooter Ever

One of, if not my most favourite games of all time. I don't have a single bad thing to say about L4D2.

Born before the major take-off of lootcrates and micro-transactions, L4D2 is pure co-operative fun. Loveable characters, wonderful level-design, fantastic voice acting, satisfying gun-play; it's truly perfect in every way. The amount of attention to detail that goes into Valve games aren't lost on anyone, and L4D2 is no exception. 100's of voice-lines, animations and dynamic situations keep this game a blast to play to this very day.

L4D2 comes with the famous "AI Director", a scripted artificial intelligence that changes and enhances your gameplay based on how well you and your team are doing, and the current situation. Doing too well? The director will ramp up the difficulty. Struggling with that one level? After a few restarts and deaths, the AI Director actually takes pity on your team, and will be a little more forgiving going forward, spawning more guns, and triggering less random events.

The game is a blast from start to finish, bring your friends for more fun as you'll need to rely on them just as much and they will need to rely on you. There's honestly nothing to dislike. No lengthy loading screens. No weird forced XP systems. No nonsense. Just boot the game up, shoot and ask questions later.

Truly one of the best games I have ever played, and still do play. There's just nothing like it, and I love it. Oh, and it also has Steam Workshop support, allowing for 1000's upon 1000's of mods. You can modify and change the game to your heart's content.
