I have what I call a "High FOV Gaming" setup now...my eyes are as close as 18" away from a 55" 4K OLED display (A total game-changer--the immersion is unreal).
The 'High FOV' refers to the field of my own view that the display takes up (~106°), and not the in-game FOV (though that has to be increased to match or you get a zoomed-in "telescope" distortion).
But you know this of course. It's ridiculous that basic functionality like this is ignored. It's anti-innovation.
So many games are unplayable with my setup due to one simple parameter being artificially locked down.
