Offers a massive variety of bosses, materials and things to do, allowing you to grind and play for hours. Very rewarding to players who put in the work.

Long Review

STORY: The game had probably the best story out of every other Assassin's Creed game, which is most likely what made it the fan favorite, the character development is rich, character personalities are realistic, and the general direction the story goes in is amazing, I've heard people say that Edward couldn't decide what he wanted or what he wanted the artifact for, but that's not it, he just developed. Edward developed in a way where he went from wanting power to wanting peace, because the realization that (SPOILER WARNING! SPOILER WARNING! SPOILER WARNING!) in his haste for greed, he lost all of his closest friends. - 10/10

GRAPHICS: it's a game from 2013, what can I say. For a game from its time I do believe it could have looked better, but it definitely had a good placement in AC games, the environments were beautiful to look at, especially when exploring the Jungles. 7/10

COMBAT: Combat was good, most of the time it was fair, but other times not so much, I do wish it had quick shot (maybe it did and I just never found out how to use it) and I wish there was a higher variety of weapons like ACIII had and AC Unity did, one thing a lot of AC games fall short on, are their variety of weapons. Of course I can't talk about combat without talking about ocean battles, I never really cared for the whole waging war at sea topic that AC fell into for a while, and it was kinda the thing that kept me away from this game for so long, because I absolutely hated it in ACIII, and I can't say I enjoyed it in this game, I just did it because it was necessary. - 8/10

STEALTH: The game had decent stealth, nothing was really innovated or improved upon since the other AC games, so there isn't much to say, the stalking zones are useful and the hiding places sometimes felt ill placed, I mainly relied on stalking zones in this game, and nothing more. Sometimes the enemy placement made the stealth system feel a bit unfair and undo-able, almost like you had no choice but to get into combat. - 7/10

TRAVERSAL: Sailing in the ship sometimes was pretty boring, just going in the same direction doing nothing, and the fact that the map was so large, you could probably be there for about 10 minutes just pressing A and D, the parkour seemed to be majorly improved since ACIII, and seemed to be a little less annoying than usual, I didn't have much issues with it, but it could have still been improved on. - 8/10

OVERALL: The game didn't bring much to the table that we hadn't already seen in other AC games, we had already seen the ship travelling deal in the previous games, the stealth is no different, the parkour is still the same, but it did bring one of the most interesting stories in the entirety of Assassin's Creed, which is the reason I will put at a - 8/10

additional note: I liked the mid-credit scene of them showing Haytham, who ironically became a templar lolz

Long Review

STORY: The story was very investing and good in the beginning, around the middle it sort of fell on its face a little, but picked back up in the end. Arno is a very interesting character, but the problem is how much he lacked character development, it really only feels like he made a development in the very end of the game, where he gives that speech on the Assassin motto "Nothing is true, everything is permitted." Elise was also a very cool character but also sort've suffered the same fate as Arno, with the lack of character development, and it's unfortunate that she didn't live long enough to develop well enough. The main villain was a weird choice "oh he's just a innocent smiths-man" I feel like they could've gotten a better idea for his reason to be such a villain other than "they kicked me out because of this and that" - 7/10

GRAPHICS: In my opinion, it was the best looking game out of the entire Assassin's Creed series, the reflections and look of Paris was just beautiful, sometimes I enjoyed to just look at the city and gaze in awe, the population and models are well done and don't feel like basic plastic fillers like in most open world games. The game strives for absolute excellency in its looks, now obviously it's not like RDR2 or TLOU2 level, but it is still very beautiful and well done. - 9/10

TRAVERSAL: The parkour is simply put...amazing, I've never had so little issues in parkour with any other parkour game in general, I believe that this game contains the best parkour system out of every other parkour incorporated game on the market. Traversal made getting from one spot to the other enjoyable, it was designed in such an advanced way that the player could actually do this and that on their own terms, every single time. The way traversal was done made chases and such actually do-able and all around is just an enjoyable system. - 10/10

STEALTH: Another big 10, the stealth was fun, if it was done right it could be very fun, getting this enemy here at exactly the right time without being noticed, and sabotaging alarms to cover my tracks and prevent reinforcements and such, just being able to back the enemies into a corner without them even knowing I'm there was such a satisfying experience, it made me feel like I had this sinister presence within the enemies, and it felt great. The new crouching and cover system was a big one as it allowed the player to manually pick and choose when they wanted to cover and such, without issue, which is something that was absent in all of the AC games before. 10/10

COMBAT: There isn't much to say, with the major variety of weapons, and huge use with the smoke bombs, poison gas, and every little goodie and gadget that the game provided, every combat encounter felt like I could make it out of there alive. no matter how low health was or how outnumbered I was, there was always a way out of it, and it made the combat fair. This applied especially in enemy rich environments, areas where going in stealthy was very difficult, and just an all around enjoyable experience, sometimes I hope for some bad red guys to stir up trouble just so I can get into combat while running around in the city, and the finishers and sometimes instant kills just make you feel so smooth, like when you save a citizen from 2 criminals while you're running, and you just zip in there, kill them, and zip out. Very enjoyable - 10/10

OVERALL: This game brought so many new things to the table in the world of Assassin's Creed, and most of them were good, it brought a new perspective on what it meant to be an Assassin, but also what it meant to be in a Creed, the Co-op gives you the realization that you aren't the only Assassin in such a toxic city, and that somewhere in the world there is also someone zipping through the streets of Paris, saving every soul they can, the combat and stealth are fair, the graphics are amazing, and the story is really not bad, not amazing but not bad. overall the game ranks as one of my all time favorite games, and definitely my favorite game in the Assassin's Creed series, putting it at a solid 9/10

EXTRA NOTE: idk man Elise is kinda hot, it's something about the redheads bro.

Very fun, good main story (bit over-comedic) it sometimes takes reminding that under no circumstance are you playing as the good guy at all. The gameplay is really fun and it's not really easy to get bored of it.

Long Review

STORY: Story is amazing, and very well developed, it puts you in the head and insanity of the three characters, as well as your own (if you do the hidden tapes) it brings you into this sensation of horror and absolute torture of the minds of these people, the broken heads of them, and the things that their mind lead them to, it is something that nearly breaks your heart when you think about it, a lonely child, damaged by her mind and the imaginary insidious friend that lead her to do unspeakable things that a child should never even fathom. The elderly woman, broken by her own mind and her mental conditions, leading to her husband being overwhelmed by taking care of her, and the child they made an attempt at raising together. The lone man, driven by insanity, and the feeling that he is always being watched, that everyone is out for him, leaving him to lead on this idea that he must kill, or be killed. Last but certainly not least, you, the player, who has to deal with the guilt of addiction, and the crazy things it caused, driven by the guilt of the murder of your own family, you must come to terms with your end in this story, and accept what you've done. - 10/10 Best horror narrative since P.T.

GRAPHICS: Absolutely stunning, sometimes I enjoyed taking a moment and just enjoying the environment, especially in the sections that took place outside. The developers left no area non-stunning, even in this run-down kinda dirty house that you surround yourself in, it is still beautiful, and it really captures that horror and tense environment. The textures are crisp and good looking, the lighting is realistic and perfectly captures the need to keep the lights on, and helps with the desperation when they go out. - 10/10

GAMEPLAY: The gameplay is amazing, and the survival horror functionality is great, the game means it when it says "Good item management and resources are your best friends" there is but one flaw in the gameplay and that is sometimes lighters or items in my hands get stuck on doors and stuff, but that's it, the gameplay is perfect in the sense of keeping your sanity low and such. The game provides everything you need to survive, what matters is how you use it, and if you use it well, you will exceed in the game. - 9/10

HORROR: By far one of the scariest games since Outlast. The problem with most horror games nowadays, is how much they wanna be like Outlast, running away from the creepy monster and everything, nothing was new nothing was creative after Outlast, but then Visage released and people felt what real horror was for the first time in a few years. This game perfectly captures the idea that when the lights go out, sh!t is going to hit the fan, it captures the idea that if you don't play your cards right, it will result in the end of your life. The chases are brilliant, with the lights flickering and that endowed sense of utter panic, constantly looking around to see where "It" is, overall genius horror game. - 10/10

OVERALL: By far one of the most genius Horror games in sense of scariness, and gameplay, it also brings itself as one of the most visually stunning games of all horror, with its impeccable graphics, and even with said graphics, the performance optimization is incredibly well done, and doesn't strain your computer to where it completely struggles to play. This game brings the best narrative story that we've seen in horror in years, diving into a real world struggle, and things that some people deal with daily, it takes us into their minds, and gives us a sense of sympathy towards them. Brilliant gameplay and level design, brilliant story telling, and brilliant horror experience all in all - 9.5/10

If you're a fan of horror and such movie titles like Paranormal Activity, you will absolutely love this experience

TL;DR Rating

Story - 9/10

Gameplay - 8/10

Graphics - 7/10

Enemies - 7/10

Gunwork - 8/10

Overall - 8/10

Thorough Review

Story
It was a very well done and well demonstrated story, mysteries and questions were answered timely, and properly. Action and tensity were fair, felt well put together, the overall idea resembles that of an idea similar to the CW Show "Arrow" except not exactly, but overall it is a decent story, and I was relatively invested. The characters were smart and each had a good individual personality, and resembled good human emotions, and the acts of the characters seemed sometimes justifiable. Overall - 9/10

Gameplay
There were a lot of repeats and basically sometimes the same thing over again, but not always, they had some good combat mechanics and good parkour and climbing mechanics, and the encounters felt easy to understand and they felt fair, there weren't as many Tombs and Puzzles as a Tomb Raider fan would like there to be, but they were there at least, and were fun to do. Overall - 8/10

Graphics
They aren't GTA or The Last of Us level, but for a game made in 2013, the graphics aren't horrible, now I'd like to incorporate Animation into the graphics category, just to say that the animation could have been a lot better. Overall - 7/10

Enemies
Enemies were sometimes bland, I feel like there wasn't much of a big variety, but they were still a threat, still something to combat with, and they still made encounters fun. Boss fights were cool, easy to get into and easy to get the movement down, hand to hand combat was fun and the finishers were great.

Gunwork
The guns were good, they had good upgrades that genuinely felt useful, and each gun felt like it had a proper use, I enjoyed shooting and killing to my hearts content with the weapons provided because they were fun to use. Overall - 8/10

Overall
The game is great, it is good for people who want to get into the tomb raider series, and it is just a big batch of fun, with its adventure and scavenging aspects.
8/10
