Interesting game, kinda gets boring after a while, but it is really fun to play with friends...it is also a great way to destroy those friendships. (Screw you Nemiah, I trusted you.)

TL:DR Review:

Graphics: 9/10

Performance: 8/10

Animation: 10/10

Gun work: 10/10

Enemies: 7/10

Boss Fights: 8/10

General: 9.5/10

THOROUGH Review:

GRAPHICS: The graphics were genuinely a major step-up in my opinion, I know some people didn't notice it but it made my top of the line computer get a little lag sometimes. It made the look of the game very enjoyable, while also being my first PC game that had Photo-mode. I enjoyed the overall look of it, and it didn't give me sore eyes at any points...mostly. There is one thing that bothered me and has pretty much always bothered me in terms of Resident Evil games, and that is the textures. The textures aren't noticeable at times but sometimes all that was in your face were P I X E L S! But other than that, the graphics were Amazing.

PERFORMANCE: This is an edit since after my review, Capcom has patched many performance issues, which has taken this rating up a notch, it plays well, and for most parts I keep a pretty smooth framerate on 8 GB ram and a 1650, so not bad, not bad at all.

ANIMATION: The reason I ranked this so high is because compared to what happened with Resident Evil 7?!?!? THIS IS A HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!! The animation of RE7 was so poorly done that sometimes it took away from the experience, the lip syncing was always proper and the movement felt very fluent and non snappy.

GUN WORK: What can I say other than that the upgrades felt relevant and the merchant bought weapons always felt like a proper upgrade from what you have. As a matter of a fact, buying a new pistol from Duke saved my butt in the last boss fight, and actually helped me win! The gun work felt proper and the weapons felt like there was always something that gave them use!

ENEMIES: Enemies were always a threat, always something to be cautious of, they may have been bullet draining but this made them a TRUE danger, and they aren't as easily avoidable, sometimes though the enemy abilities and quantity would make the fight seem fair, and in some parts it just felt like a slow paced DOOM interaction (Which is not good for an Resident Evil game) But they did pose a decent threat, and the thought of them always made you wonder "Do I want to waste ammo or health to go get that item?"

BOSS FIGHTS: In many ways they were similar to RE7 and in many ways they were different, sometimes the way they worked and how to win seemed painfully obvious, but there was a few that I feel like I couldn't have complete without help, one boss fight I probably wouldn't have won had I not went through my documents, and another I would not have won without the help of the Merchant. The boss fights felt fair (Except for the last one) and the movement and patterns felt fluent. (That last boss fight sucked, it was so difficult.)

GENERAL: The game is very good, and compared to what I have seen people say there truly isn't as much to complain about as they say, I will enjoy replaying through this game to see whatever I may have missed, and I will enjoy playing it even after I 100% it. The game is a good feeling like RE4, I love how it is similar to RE4, but upgrades in certain areas, in my opinion if RE4 went with more of the atmosphere that RE8 had it would be much better, as RE8 stuck to the Survival-horror and Action-adventure at the same time, and it felt balanced in that way.

BONUS
The Duke (Merchant): Duke is love, Duke is life, merchant is good, merchant is great.

EXTREMELY GOOD! By far one of my most favorite games of all time, the enemies are extremely balanced in the sense that they are always a consistent danger, but not too hard to defeat, and the boss fights are fun and different in many ways! In contrast to other resident evil games like RE2 and RE3 Remake, each boss battle is 100% different. The only flaws are that it is a little too short, and there is a lot of flawed animation, but that is it!

Game is very pretentious and boring, not fun to play at all with almost no enjoyable aspects, the only time where I felt slightly entertained is when I just randomly ragdolled down a mountain.

OVERVIEW:
TL;DR Rating
Story - 9.5/10
Gameplay - 7/10
Graphics - 10/10
Optimization - 7/10
Overall - 8.5/10

THOROUGH REVIEW:
Story - The Story is rich, full of excitement and good drama and logic. It has good moral behind it and a good plotline bottom line. "What does it mean to be human" in summary. The choices really mattered, where no plot armor existed and the endings were significant. 9.5/10
Gameplay - The game can be boring sometimes, it feels like it is a movie with minor controls, and feels very dragged at times, but It can and immersive at times as well, the controls seem fair, and the quick time events seem playable, at least compared to Spider-Man 3. 7/10
Graphics - The graphics and visuals are absolutely beautiful, with realistic character models, and not a single bit of CPU and GPU power wasted! They made sure that the max amount of power is used out of every console and PC. Sometimes I liked to just take a moment and enjoy the view strictly from how insanely beautiful it was. 10/10
Optimization - It functioned well on high settings with a GTX 1650, 8 GB of ram and a i5 10400f. My problem is that often times there would be crashes and stutters and many many framerate drops, the worst one was on Markus's first section going to the paint store, but it was still playable, hence the 7/10.
Overall - The game in my opinion is a MUST-PLAY for people who enjoy story rich and amazing graphics, one of the best breakthroughs in story telling and choice making games since Heavy Rain, it will be a while before this game is topped in it's groundbreaking story and graphics! 8.5/10

ADDITIONAL NOTE: Hank is love, Hank is life, Hank is great, Hank is mighty.

Does not love up to the first game or its DLC, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is bad, if you worry about playing the first one before this, don't because they seem to have no relation other than function. It is scary and has a lot of good in it, so it is still enjoyable.

Just like the original story, heart wrenching the whole way through, producing new ways to disturb and creep out the player, with a lot of backstory on what went wrong in mount massive, absolute masterpiece horror DLC!
