I play a variety of games, and Steam has turned out to be one of the best platforms for it. They have allowed indie companies to thrive, giving us a vast collection that at times is overwhelming (see my wishlist as an example). I only wish that MMO's would continue to be innovative, as most have still followed the old ways put in place by giants like EQ or WoW.
