Consider it is the first Monster Hunter game to PC. I will cut the developers some slack on the main topic with the lack on variety of monsters in this game. Game mechanics are plenty and I do enjoy a Monster Hunter game when you can use other weapons than the Greatsword to deal with most monsters.

If you are new to monster hunter the abundance of helpful mechanics are a good feature and are easily turned off too if you are a experienced player.

The story annoys me and others with how they introduce and keep dragging the Character " The handler" around with the Hunter and make her seem as if she did anything to help us. During the introduction we had a glimse of her as a Tutorial character but as the story goes she lost me and became a nuisance.

Cutscenes could had easily toned her down with how much of a wonder she is to even be accepted as a party member of the 5th crew. Consider our Character repeatedly acts awesome and quick on his feet against encounter after encounter and rinse and repeat.
