It's marketed as a "chill" exploration game, which it is, but the world lacks character in my opinion. It lacks any real challenge, and the customization is rather limited. If you want a more in-depth exploration game, I'd recommend Kenshi or Hyper Light Drifter. Those games really inspire a sense of "what IS this thing??" or "what on earth happened there?"

In short, It's not a bad game it's just kinda "meh". There are better options.

I would Recommend this if AND ONLY IF you LOVE puzzle games and you DON'T GET MOTION SICK. The art? Fantastic. Scale and immersion? Excellent. Music? Perfect. But good god this is the only game ever to make me physically ill. After 4.4 hours, this is all I can do. As the levels get more complex, and you have to fall to reset, my nausea gets worse.

But hey, if you like doing puzzles only to be rewarded with more puzzles, you'll enjoy this game, even at full price.

Hee Hoo Head go KABOOM

This game is better than Sandstorm in nearly every way EXCEPT for the amount of spawn killing that can be done. Every other life, you will die to someone who threw C4 or an IED INSIDE YOUR SPAWN ROOM, so they can net an easy 6+ kills. Or, they can wait in the building across the street and mow you all down as you come out because you weren't expecting to face contact literally 1 second after you moved from you spawn position. So much potential, but is utter garbage. 3.5/10, do not recommend.

I will say only this: I'm not a fan of survival games, and I ended up putting 8 hours into this game today. The viking theme is refreshing, the game is beautiful, and the complexity is justtttt right. I look forward to what they have planned for future content, and I'm glad I tried it.

Despite what you might think, this game is not about drifting racecars.
