I cannot, in good conscience, recommend a competitive game with such glaring issues in its ranked system. Starting from blue ranks, people will constantly plug you. You will run into smurfs, who aren't a big deal they are better than me it is what it is, but you will also run into cheaters and pluggers. Until the devs do something to curb the ragequit issue this game is not one i can easily recommend. Wait a few months to buy, or buy on a high discount. The game itself is great though.

I wish to amend this review and take pretty much all the good stuff i said back. Long story short: don't buy this game. Even if it is 99% off. Bamco does not deserve to make a dime off this dumpsterfire. They have time and time again shown bad faith ever since the release of the game. They have been attacking the livelihoods of well known content creators by striking their youtube channels. Not copyright claiming, striking. One youtuber's channel is getting terminated this month apparently. Their cashgrabby practices are ridiculous. They first hid the tekken store from the playerbase on release. They then attacked the community and content creators for making mods that "competed" with their horrid store. They released eddy gordo and not only have they not allowed the players to look at his kit on practice tool so they can lab eddy, they made it so you cannot look at any replays that have eddy in it unless you own the character. They have been constantly refusing to fix the issues plaguing the ranked mode. And since the latest patch, Patch 1.03, there have been multiple game breaking new bugs. A reminder that this is supposed to be the patch that evo is played on. The devs have time and time again shown they do not care about the game or the community. I would recommend playing other fighting games like Brawlhalla, Street Fighter 6 or Guilty Gear Strive. This game has been beyond disappointing. I consider this an insult. Bandai Namco does not deserve your money, and they won't ever be getting any of mine. All of this being said, I feel like clarifying: if you don't care and just want to play the game there is no shame in that. I'm mad at bamco, not tekken players.

Season 2 has been the worst time playing either t7 or t8 i ever had. I'm winning all my games but the game itself is so boring. Namco has made a fighting game where winning does not feel rewarding which I find spectacularly impressive. Good job Namco. Stop bastardising the best fighting game ever made. You guys have no idea how to make a Tekken game anymore and it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shows. No one who has any idea what tekken is, why it is beloved and why people play it would have even considered these changes. Do not release a Season 3. Go directly to jail. Do not pass go.
