This mod is not my original work, it is an updated version of the "Animated Silicoid Portraits" mod by Silfae, which can be viewed here-

This mod adds a new racial group, Silicoids, which pick from a pool of 19 new traits exclusive to them. There are also 2 new (currently disabled) civics which Silicoids may choose to use in addition to the default pool. Additionally, there are models for Silicoid-style cities and (currently disabled) ships.

If you want to use a mod with custom traits or play on ironman mode, here is a version of the mod that only adds the Silicoid portraits and buildings- https://test-steamproxy.haloskins.io/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1570331944

I would love ideas for new traits and civics, so please leave suggestions in the comments.

Please report any bugs or issues in the comments, I will look to address them as soon as I can.

If you know a thing or two about gfx modding and would like to add silicoid models for the new ships and buildings, I'd gladly accept.

The population of the silicoids consumes nothing. It does not consume energy either. It looks like there is a bug and an update is needed.

Frosum, I'm so glad to hear you plan to incorporate this mod into the Lithoids pack. I like both and would love to see them merged. Your second portrait (the crystalline guys with no face) are my favorite silicoid portrait out of all the ones in this mod and the official pack!

I disagree, Starfirejordan. This Mod should have been half of the DLC. These creatures should have been stolen and incorporated directly alongside the Vanilla rendition portraits.

I've found a bug in your Mod. Apparently, the Traits are busted, namely the actual "Silicoid" Trait that is added to every silicon-based lifeform.
