Liverpool And Manchester

Description
A medium size temperate map featuring Liverpool, Manchester and some of the surrounding area. 20 towns in (approx) their real world locations. Included are 4 copies of each raw material industry and 2 copies of each finishing industry. This map uses the heightmap for the same map from Transport Fever 1. It has been enhanced and detailed using the Transport Fever 2 map editor.

I use Left Hand Traffic mod, it requires the Improved Street Constructions mod (both by Dirkels) to run but it does need a new map so no pre-done roads or you get left and right hand traffic.
The arrows at bus/lorry stops face the wrong way when you place them but act the as if they are facing the opposite way, but that is a minor detail that can't be overcome due to hard coding.

And to answer my own question, loading the map having LHT mod active, wiping towns/industry/roads and replacing them results in Left Hand Traffic, oh happy days :D

Oddly when I load the save game after that, if I activate LHT mod it gives me a warning it may crash, so far it hasn't... so I'm having great fun on a brilliant map, I did add a couple of towns to Wales as that seemed a little too empty.

I'd love to have LHD on my maps. I don't know of any mods to do that though.

Fantastic map but Right Hand Traffic??!!? Bleh, it looks so wrong on UK maps.
I've never used the Map Editor yet, so can you remove towns and replace them? Thinking of wiping all towns/roads and using mod so it's LHD, is this possible?

Do you know what number the mod is in the files, so i can grab the heightmap?

In terms of the terrain - easy. Simply load the original heightmap file via the tpf2 map editor. You would need to play with the water levels and make sure you create a map with the same proportions. After this, just place towns and industries, add extra detail - this part will take longest.

How easy is it to port maps over? Can't begin to describe how much I'd love the England and Wales 7k map in TP2. We desperately need it

Hey, no immediate plans I'm afraid. It would be nice to do at some point though.

Any plans to bring some classics over to Tpf2 at some point, Mr. Brit? I'd love to replay the east coast mainline map and the Cumbria one :)
