A. Horlock & Co. 0-4-0 'Fire Queen'

Description
Fire Queen was one of two identical locomotives built for the Padarn Railway, which connected the Dinorwic Quarry near Llanberis in north Wales with the port at Y Felinheli. The railway was opened in 1840 using horses to pull the slate trains. It replaced the even earlier Dinorwic Railway which opened in 1824.

From Wikipedia, because this engine is somewhat elusive.

The engine actually ran on 4ft gauge railway, 8½' thinner than standard gauge.
For obvious reasons, I have scaled this model to standard gauge.

Q: Why this engine I have never heard of it and it looks weird, why don't you make Thomas or something?

A: I went to Penrhyn Castle last year and saw it in the museum and I was like 'yo I gunna make dat' and here we are.

As much as I want someone to make Thomas, I greatly respect your weird old welsh engine.

I've seen some photos of this thing in a book I have but I didn't realise it was THAT long.

"yo I gunna make dat" is the best reason to do such things anyway. Except for the time I gave a V200 a Hello Kitty livery.

Strangest looking thing but so cool at the same time. Thanks for making it.
