British Rail Mk 2a Coaches v2 (Western Region)

Description
This mod comprises an additional livery for Plane Simple's BR Mk 2a coaching stock. There are a number of required files for this mod to work correctly:

1. BR Mk 2a Coaches - Plane Simple
2. Mesh Labels - Yung Lenin

Having seen an advert for Graham Farish's Cornish Riviera set, I already had the Class 42 and was only lacking the coaches. Historically, the Cornish Riviera express ran with a mixture of Mk2a and Mk1 stock, but for simplicity - and the fact that the Mk2a has 4K textures - I've used all Mk2a vehicles for this mod.

Included is a set of BR (Western Region) chocolate and cream carriages with correct gold-coloured WR dynamic numbers from the correct ranges, period lettering on coach ends and body sides, and a custom restaurant/buffet car. The RBR was based on the BSK and has exterior window arrangements as closely aligned as possible with those of the actual vehicle. The interior however remains standard.

The set comprises:

BFK - Converted from the original BSK with the aid of some window stickers.
BFK (Rev) - As above, facing the other way.
FK - Straightforward retexture from original model.
FO - Converted from TSO with more window stickers. Also made this one No Smoking as it's open seating.
RBR - Visual conversion from the original BSK (external only).
TSO - Retexture as FK.

There is a multiple unit configuration file for a rake of coaches that can be added to a (Western Region) locomotive of your choice.

To run as a complete set, you will need Celmi's Class 42 locomotive and my livery pack:

Class 42: https://test-steamproxy.haloskins.io/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2293183558

Livery Pack: https://test-steamproxy.haloskins.io/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2376555083

D808 'Centaur' in my livery pack also has the correct headcode for the up Riviera (1A25).

The models and other materials are all the intellectual property of Plane Simple; I am responsible for the textures.

you should give the blood and custard livery a preserved tag to prevent confusion

MK2's were built in 1963, and entered service in 1964, hope that helps you out, wikipedia is your friend :)

@Dark Centurion - In that case I'll alter the start of my faux Mk 1s to 1956, give people chance to use them for longer.

@This user... - Good to hear about a Hymek, we just need a Class 52.

No problem! There's Blood and Custard livery too, which similarly wasn't applied to mk2s under BR, only preservation. Blood and Custard ran from BRs beginning until 1956, when Maroon, Western and Southern came about

That's hugely useful @Dark Centurion, thank you. I did wonder whether to change the start date as they are technically impersonating Mk 1 coaches for the most part. My Cornish Riviera consist dates from 1961, and I think the train itself ran until the early '70s in BR blue.

Sounds good! Just wanted to check whether they were preservation or for original BR!

Personally, i really like stretching the truth, so I'm glad they're available in '64. In reality Chocolate and Cream was introduced with BR Maroon and BR Green coach liveries in 1956, Chocolate and Cream painting was ceased in 1962, with fresh paint being applied as BR Maroon, while Maroon and Green went on to be replaced with BR Blue from 1965 onwards, so mk2s never got painted in Chocolate and Cream at that time
