LNER Gresley B17/5 4-6-0

Description
LNER Gresley B17 4-6-0

'Can I have an A4?'
'We have an A4 at home.'

Its like an A4! Except smaller! And less power! And it's not as fast or as good!

So, for those of you who don't know, to run their fancy new East Anglian service the LNER converted two of their B17s into these streamlined versions, designed to look like the larger, heavier A4s which were quite trendy at the time. The streamlining fit around the B17's original boiler, and later on down the line they were converted back into their original shape. The streamlining had no practical benefit, it was purely an aesthetic gimmick.

And for some reason SteveM4 convinced me to make them.

So uh. Blame him. But also, enjoy. :]

(also note that due to the relatively short life of them, I added a bunch of 'fictional' liveries and followed the post-war habit of removing the side skirts from the A4s)

Features

-LNER B17/5 in 5 liveries
-Liveries include LNER Green, LNER Wartime Black, LNER Garland Blue, BR Green & BR Blue.

-Placeable rail assets (also with lods) allowing placement of the full engine, or just the tender or locomotive if you wish.
-Moddable engine numbers - edit the number of the train and the number will display on the side of the locomotive.

It's just a B17 Bongo in A4's Clothing.

Great Eastern MainLine linespeed back then was at most 80mph, the aerodynamics only helps at well over that.

Why didn't the streamlining have a practical benefit? Were the B17's ever tested to see how fast they could go? I think the top speed should be a bit more than 120 but much less than 160 to reflect that.

He did it. He did the thing.

@jutko_pl At some point I'm probably going to redo it, yeah, but from a modelling perspective, it and the streamlined version don't really have any common ground (and i imagine this will probably be a bit of a niche mod lol), hence the seperate releases.
