Generic British Passenger Coaches V2 (1850-1910)

Description
Generic British Pasenger Coaches V2
Pack 1: 1850-1910

I've been wanting to do this one for a while.

First things first: This pack is meant to replace, but is 100% compatible with, my previous Generic UK Passengers Coaches.

I don't know why you'd want to run both, but hey you do you, there's no file conflicts so go nuts.

So this pack is effectively a full replacement for my previous generic coaches pack. I've been working on this pack for a month and the end results are pretty huge. Designed in a similar vein to my Generic British Engines Pack, this mod contains a large number of generic-looking passenger carriages that you can use to populate your game world with some British and UK themed coaches.

The pack also includes multiple liveries that cover several of the more well-known coach appearances, much like the older version of this pack, though the textures are vastly improved. All meshes were built from scratch as well - they may look similar to the old version of this mod, but if you put them side by side you'll see significant differences.

Special attention has been taken to make them age convincingly, and aged placeable assets are included in the mod.

Also included with the coaches are some generic styled Push-pull coaches, and (in a first for me), some generic-styled EMUs, both overhead and third rail.

I've been working on this for a month and had originally planned on doing a full single pack covered 1850 right up to about 1950, but the pack quickly grew much bigger than anticipated, so I've split the release. I've yet to start on Part 2, but later, faster coaches including saloons and corridors are planned for a future release. As it stands, this mod has 165 variants of coaches and EMUs to play with, so I think thats sufficient for now. Enjoy! <3

Features

-39 variants of passenger coach spread across 4 generations spanning 1850-1900, reflective of common UK designs, liveries and aesthetics.
-1st generation of coaches available in 3 liveries - Dark green, brown and teak.
-2nd, 3rd & 4th generation of coaches available in 4 liveries - Dark green, cream and brown, brown with cream panelling, and teak.
-3 types of EMU unit, reflecting early EMUs on British electrified networks. Third Rail EMU is classified as a Diesel engine and does not need catenary to work, but is visually compatible with the Third Rail mods.
-A total of 165 different models to choose from.
-Full aging support. Detailed dirt and rust maps accumulate dirt and paint thins and fades as the coaches age.
-Tint/recolour support available for 'dark green' and 'dark brown with cream panelling' liveries.
-Neatly organised menus, organised by generation and livery.
-Small file size and .dds compressed textures, to help with load speed.
-Placeable rail assets available in new or aged versions of all models.
-Moddable engine numbers - edit the number of the train and the number will display on the side of the locomotive.

Credits

A big thank you to the Transport Fever 2 UK Discord for all of the feedback and suggestions on this mod, and also for putting up with my spam as I've worked on this and provided continuous, frequent updates. This has actually been a pretty huge undertaking and I've learned a lot of new stuff in the process, and the support and enthusiasm for this project has been *greatly* appreciated!

Edit to my previous comment. This seems to only apply to the 1850 passenger cars. The 1865 cars don't seem to have this issue.

Not sure why this is happening, but passengers don't seem to be showing up in the coaches. Thought it might have been a capacity mod I was running, but turning off said mod did nothing. Any thoughts?

Amazing work, but I was really disappointed to find that these don't seem to have any kind of camera so riding inside of them is impossible. Would be great if they were made compatible even in a super basic way with the advanced camera mod.

Ahh, thanks for the info then!

@uspesny_mekkys this is intentional. The 1910 EMU powered units are essentially an addon to the 1895 coaches.

Hey! I absolutely adore these carriages of yours, but I have the same issue as @Cdodders had half a year ago - 1895 EMU carriages are unlocked without any power cars and only the next (1910 I think?) generation has any. Could there be a problem on my side somehow?

I like these carriages, but I have a problem using them. Their capacity does not match any of your other carriage mods (both your V1 & V2). If I want to use these vehicles, I need provide platforms long enough to accommodate them. But when I move to the your 1926 vehicles (or any others) the platforms are much too long.
Could you increase their capacity by at least 50% to correct this problem please?

Shame luggage or mail as a commodity can't be dealt with at passenger stations like they might be otherwise. Just seems strange for a baggage car to have more carrying capacity than the top/tail end Driving coaches XD

@th3maldonado not with the way the game handles freight and passengers needing seperate stations. It would give baggage cars little practical purpose for dedicated passenger services.

If it helps, imagine it as having a dedicated baggage car allows for storage of travelling luggage, which means more passengers can be accommodated in the rest of the coaches.

Should the baggage cars carry passengers? Would it not be more suited to have them used as freight wagons for Goods?
