AI squad assaulting the objective does respawn until the position is taken (as far as I remeber but I kinda sure of it). So the fact that they get themself killed should not matter in the grand scheme of thing.
And to be honest I don't understand where the comments about this mission being particularly hard come from. Not only do I have no issues playing it I saw people online having no issues so I don't get it. But It is what it is I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In all of my missions you get some degree of procedural generation so that mission doesn't play the same every time. I cases of missions like Flow Separation enemies may occupy different locations on each playthrough or like Hearts and Minds You may even have different objectives on repeat playthrough. :>
A nice feature is, if you start the mission or if you e. g. are waiting for the counter attack, then there are random enemies or it's placed in a different position. I like that.
