Intro - Like My Blender And Fire Alpaca SE Guides


This will be like some of my guides for Fire Alpaca SE and Blender, where it will be a slow going, since I will have to experiment and update as I go along.

Note: This guide is a bit of a fail, since it will mostly center only on 3tene, VRoid, OBS Studio and Blender. Despite that I have tiny experiences with DaVinci Resolve, the information that I do have are outdated or I forgotten how to use DVR.

Don't forget to:

First Things First
The default language is Japanese, so, ya need to change things before ya go and do anything.

Go to the right side of 3tene, until the right side menu bar pops up.


Click on the Gear and it will open up the Settings window.




Go here and click on the area that I circled, that's the drop menu and pick "英語", that will switch it to English.

Set Up
I don't use 3tene's default camera to film.


First I turn on 3tene, then I set up the green screen by picking a solid color/background that's not part of my model.

Then I open up OBS Studio. Be sure that 3tene is running when ya do this.




Make sure ya set up the "Game Capture" and "Display Capture."

Display Capture


Make sure that the Display Capture is set to record the background/game/speedpaint. etc.

Game Capture


Set the "Game Capture" mode to "Capture Specific Window", then click on "Window" and select "3tene." That should bring up your Avatar.

This is a rough demo.

After setting up my model, camera, mic and whatever 3tene business. Then click on the OBS record button and start playing/recording.

Note: Set OBS on "game capture", it's because 3tene doesn't appear in the window capture option.
Overlays And Bits
Blah, blah, please ignore my YT name. It's a Kingdom Hearts thing.

The approximate dimensions are 1920 x 1080xp. Therefore your overlay should be approximately those sizes.

Add Image



Click on the picture icon that's right next to the couch.






Click on Change Background, go to Image, and click on Add Image.



As you can see, the default setting regarding images is Forced Fit or Adjust To Larger Size.

Now you can either use OBS or 3tene directly to place your overlay in your video/stream.

Squeeze In


You can use that red square border to shirt the "screen" to fit in your overlay, like what I did here.

Da Proper Way


To use the Overlay, just added Game Capture and Screen Display. But make sure that they're at the bottom of the "Overlay."

Green Herb Lollipop Tip



To move your model, like what I did with the 3tene mascot, just right click your mouse button and drag to whatever place on the "map."
Miscellaneous
Life Tips

If 3tene doesn't show up when you set up some of the windows, like Window Capture. Try to share it as a game./set it up as Game Capture.

Mobile Apps

These are basic, unlike, the fancier one that is on Steam and the VRoid main site. But the difference is that be aware that pixiv wants ya to make an account with them in order to use the mobile app. Lastly, I don't know if ya can transfer your model to the desk top computer. It probably requires uploading to the VRoid database and doing your downloading straight from there.

The optimized version of 3tene is "hiding", just scroll down and download it.

Stream Bits - More Than 1 Avatar

One of the ways to do a stream with 2 or more vtuber avatars that move, use the color key filiter instead of OBS's chroma key.

Seeing Double


OBS can be used to open two 3tenes at the same time.
Troubleshooting
If an error message says "The webcam startup timed out." Here's some ways to get rid of that message:

Check to see that there's no other program that's using your camera, BEFORE clicking on 3tene. (Like check to see that it's plugged in and not open in OBS (and whatever OBS rivals). 3tene is one of those programs where ya have to open first, before the other programs.

Go to "adjust avatar", click on the settings option and check to see if its using the correct webcam.

Screen Capture Mode (3Tene)

If you're having errors with the "Screen Capture" mode, make sure that you didn't install other VRM virtural camera programs, like Virtual Magic Mirror". This is mainly due to these programs using the same "driver", it can get into conflict with tons of programs.

No Recording Device

If activating a audio recording software, like Lip Sync, gives an error stating "there's no recording device". Just check or audio drivers, since it means that ya have to reset them or update the audio drivers.

I'm broke, so I don't know how a VR works. Have ya check Argama Witch and The Virtual Reality Show? They cover VR and are better than me when it comes to this.
