FCP - FNV Ideology Style (Fallout)

Description
Recommended mods for full visual enjoyment:
- Camera+
- Graphics Settings+

What is this mod about?

This mod removes items from the "dependency" mods that are required for it completely. You won't have any custom content added to your game.

Instead this mod reuses the amazing art from those mods into an Ideology style that you can pick to customize a look of a specific faction (for player or NPC) the same way as you pick any other style (Morbid, Spikecore etc).

How to use

Select the style "Fallout (Generic)" as the main style of the Ideoligion for a faction.
Make sure other styles are not overwriting it

Content

Currently it only implements Industrial weapons for vanilla guns styles.

The plans are to add armor styles, then modded weapons for VEF guns, then finally branch off into faction-specific styles.
For now this is all you get, I will be happy to add more once I have more time.

Compatibility

- Fully compatible with any other mod, including Combat Extended, because it's just a visual style.

However it's worth noting that the FCP mods in the dependency no longer add new content to the game, as the original items are removed and converted into an ideology visual style instead.

Changelog
Latest changes:

- Added FCP FNV weapons as a style for vanilla Industrial weapons

Credits
All art credits are unchanged from the original mods.
I've only made a patch to replace items with Ideology style.

Permission from Ranger Rick to post this on Workshop has been obtained in Discord on 20th June 2023

You can subscribe to this mod and see how I did it. It's pretty simple.

cool. i'm good with XML so this should be easy. I thought you used c#!

Pretty easy.

1) Learn basic XML structure, go through the original mod, note all item IDs.
2) Make a patch that deletes all items added by mod (s)
3) Make another patch that adds ideology style using art assets from the mod (s)

No coding required, just a lot of typing :).

this is pretty neat. makes me wish there was one for all the mods that add Halloween outfits. how hard was this to make?

Sorry for late answer. @ArmoredCascade34 this mod REMOVES all those weapons, so basically all required mods do NOTHING, so it doesn't matter which version they are for.

I only reuse artwork to be used as styles for 1.4, and thus it works fine.

As mentioned in "Compatibility" section:
- However it's worth noting that the FCP mods in the dependency no longer add new content to the game, as the original items are removed and converted into an ideology visual style instead.

I did it this way to make sure I don't copypaste or redistribute someone else's artwork.

the listed weapons are still 1.3 not updated for 1.4 so how will this mod work?

Will be VERY fun to use this with a Sanguophage cannibal cult. Ty!

Indeed, I own no art, but I coded it to use the Style feature. You shouldn't worry about it, since workshop has no mod limit, and you are not downloading that many art assets anyway :). Those mods are pretty lightweight.

Because all the art assets come from those other mods, just converted into Styles instead of alternative weapons.

why does it have so many required items ://
