Hospitality: Vending machines

Description
Description
This hospitality add-on adds a vending machine and a fridge vending machine if rimfridge or simple fridge is installed. A vending machine requires a small bit of electricity. It requires you to research Complex Furniture. Guests can buy items here and you can roughly set a pricing strategy (free, 25% discount, normal, 25% extra profit), depending on this pricing you will get better or worse guests ratings.

Why?
It fills the gap between the hospitality shopping area and the hospitality storefront. Storefront requires a pawn to be standby, but you get more profit. A vending machine is open 24/7 and requires only a bit of electricity, but for lower profit.

Compatibility notes
Tested with roughly top 50 most used mods without issues.
If you report something that is not working and you are not playing plain vanilla rimworld, share the modlist please! I can not guess which of the 30.000 mods you are playing with.

If you don't like items showing up on top of the vending machine, I can recommend Owlchemists perspective storage mod, it is unlisted but here is a direct link:

Why vending machines in the medieval era?

Do I need to allow item to be used by colonist in vending machine to make guests buy it? I didn't allow colonist to use chocolate (they were eating it) to sell it for guests, but they don't buy it.

Do I need to create a new save to add this mod, or can it work in an existing save which already has Hospitality?

Did you try the "If you don't like items showing up on top of the vending machine..." part of the description?

I don't know why the texture layer of items placed in this vending machine will appear on top of it, it looks very strange

as it turns out, it was a separate mod. but i do suggest a stack limit size/ more specific options, as im finding it difficult to actually set up stuff to sell. setting the vending machine as a recognized stock pile zone might also be very helpful.

the stack size options are missing from my game when accessing the vending storage, but im watching a video of someone talking about this mod, and its on theirs. i cant figure anything out about this. but its exactly what i need.

Appreciate the help. Yea I thought vending machines wouldnt require a "shopping area". so what i am now trying is to make a shopping area in one room (which works) and then another area zone covering the vending machines outside. im selecting guests to auto shop in the shopping area by default and the other area is not selected so hope this works.

With regards to the shopping area I am surprised to hear that it would depend on a shopping area.
I used to test this in dev mode, only hospitality and this mod, plop a power cell and a vending machine next to it, fill the vending machine with smokeleaf joints, trigger a visitors group and the visitors used the vending machine and everybody happy. No shopping area needed.
If that minimal test is not working anymore, I will have a look, because the shopping area should work totally independent.

Hope you're subscribed to the thread, @Secretsquirrel. Basically you have to set a shopping area, if you don't want to use it make a 1x1 area anywhere where you don't have to worry and make it for default for all guests.
Then put another area where your vending machines are and intend to sell stuff with them, don't select this one as a shopping area, visitors should be able to use them this way. Though I am not sure if you need to set an additional area like I mentioned or it's fine with just with the shopping area that will never be used.

@Adamas, I suggest you making vending machines not depend on a Shopping area to exist or if it's not possible having it being mentioned in the description of the modpage or vendor itself.
