I Aint Building That

Description
I Ain't Building That

Inspired by the excellent too many buttons mod, this mod provides a simple way to hide all of the stuff cluttering up the build menus that you're never going to build so you can reserve all that screen real estate for the 37 types of door that you simply cannot do without.

Usage
Simply right click on a button and if this mod can hide it there will be a "hide button" button to press.

If you want to restore a button later any individual button can be restored from the mod settings, you can search by def name or the label you'd see in game and the icon is provided to make it easier to identify.

There is also a simple resetting completely button to restore all buttons.

If you decide you really did want to build a specific thing just once without fully un-hiding the button if you hold down CTRL+ALT it will stop hiding buttons until you let go of those buttons. So when you get that unexpected child you can quickly build a crib without needing to go to mod-settings to unhide it permanently because surely, another kid won't turn up unexpectedly...

When holding CTRL+ALT you can also right click on a button to restore a button you'd hidden so you don't have to keep holding the combo or go digging in settings.

Abilities
By popular demand and an open source contribution from the community, this mod now includes the ability to hide abilities as well on a per-pawn basis. This does NOT allow hiding every type of Gizmo, only Abilities for now.

Please note that as this is on a per pawn basis the settings screen can only be used to restore abilities when you're actually loaded into a game.

The search bar in the settings screen allows searching by both pawn name and ability.

Troubleshooting
If you find an issue please consider making an issue on the Github linked below which is the best way to get it looked at.

Specific Items not Working
This mod can remove anything where the XML has something like:

<placeWorkers>
<li>IAintBuildingThat.VisibilityPlaceWorker</li>
</placeWorkers>

It attempts to patch most base items with an autopatcher but there could be items I've missed. If you want you can add this yourself, or this is a great opportunity to contribute to a mod! Either let me know about the item and the mod it's from by making a Github issue or better yet contribute an extra patch yourself. The file for extra patches is available on Github[github.com]

Hi, it's possible to hide architect's category ?
Cayajinge 22 Mar @ 1:41am
I used it to hide items from vanilla, MK4, VFE, and other mods, but didn't work.There were no errors reported either

TabSorting might also be a solution for this, never used RIMMSqol

Yep : RIMMSqol
It might look a bit overwhelming but there is an architect button on the main menu of the mod
there you can do anything from reordering and cleaning buildings and orders (adding or removing/moving them to another category) to hiding whole categories and even adding buildings your not supposed to build (soil/flatscreen)
You could even remove the architect button entirely if you use mints menu and like the "right click anywhere to open architect" option
Is there a mod that lets you remove architect buttons?

Good mod. Good username as well, author.

Could you also make designators like "Claim" or "Smooth surface" hid-able ?
RIMMsqol and Cherry picker both failed at removing DesignationDefs from V.E. Framework.
The ones I'm thinking about are all of the different pipe removers : they all are made redundant by the "Select similar" designator, in my humble opinion.
