Description
This Workshop mod adds (based on the game files, at least) all of the Japanese Arcade primary guns to L4D2 (excluding the LMGs and China Lake).

The weapon stats have been compared to the base-game guns and balanced to provide a fun, balanced experience to the guns (Huge thanks to Paisen!). The guns also have their respective shove animations, as well as support for laser sights (not shocking, since the japanese arcade port is developed around a modified version of L4D2)

Requires the Custom Weapon Lab base addon!

PLEASE READ UNTIL THE END, IMPORTANT CONFIGURATION STEPS!!

After downloading/subscribing to this addon, be sure to add or copy paste this to custom_weaponlist.cfg found in the left4dead2/ems/custom_weapon_lab folder:

To try the weapons out, just type in chat
/cwl create weapon_l4ds_name

So, as an example, if you want to spawn the Thompson, just type
/cwl create weapon_l4ds_thompson

Addon Limitations:
Since the Custom Weapon Lab base addon is still pretty new, the secondary weapons can't really be added at the moment. The base addon also can't change HUD icons, so by extension this addon as well can't change HUD icons.

I love this mod, I found a bug that when using weapons that use the M16 as a base (like the famas) they are not seen in third person and the character is not carrying anything in his hands.

@kurut0 Thank you for your understanding and all of your hard work. If there are more breakthroughs with CWL or something new altogether and new firearms feel up to par with the vanilla ones, I guarantee you this mod will be near the top of my mod list.

I'd love for Valve to reintroduce the L4D Survivors weapons in a new update but that's rather unlikely :steamsad:

@Toxic_Revenant yeah, CWL does tend to have some jank to it and also not having the ability to replace secondaries and melees, but it's the best implementation we've got for custom weapons that don't replace the base game weapons.

No worries about your comment, I know that this addon has it's own jank as well, it took me a long time to make sure that the weapons aren't too OP, the recoil is sort-of workable, and damage scales well with the base weapons, but it's still quite OP from time to time.

Like you said, this isn't exactly a vanilla+ experience that integrates the guns from L4D:S but it's the (at this time) best way I could somehow add the guns back to L4D2. It's also the reason why I didn't really want to keep this mod up publicly, I just feel that it's still too janky even by CWL's standards.

Lovely mod, but I'm unfortunately not a fan for personal reasons. CWL weapons are just too 'artificial' feeling compared to the vanilla guns, and I noticed loads of glitches after tricking the mod out: doors would fly off the hinges when opened (including the safe room), pump shotguns slam firing or failing to fire altogether, shooting while moving is a fruitless endeavor etc.

Not shaming your mod and your hard work by any means, please don't take it that way. If anything this is the best implementation of the L4D: Survivors weapons on the workshop. Just wanted to share this with others who hunger for a vanilla+ experience. It might not be what you want unless you can stomach some jank.
