Compression is a bit technical. In the game files the star textures are uncompressed, meaning they are full quality. In Agami's original mod Agami had compressed their textures using BC1 compression. It reduces the file size but divides the texture into blocks which look pixelated especially when zoomed in.
I edited the star textures and saved them in ucompressed format which basically preserves their quality at all times. Heres a link to a picture that demonstrates the difference Compression Example [sv-journal.org]
