Arthrohominids (Species) by ☸Alan Kraskow☸

Description
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
This mod was created using a combination of AI-generated art and GIMP for detailed corrections and final touch-ups.

This is a pure flavor mod that doesn’t overwrite any game files. It simply adds animated portraits with custom sounds, as well as a cityscape and room background—nothing more. These portraits represent hominids evolved into hybrids. While technically they should have a separate species class, I chose to keep them within the Hominid family for simplicity.
Species has 4 phenotypes, one unique for females, one for males and two shared. Each of them comes in 10 colour variants.

A big thanks to Little Tee, whose phenomenal skills created an absolutely stunning cityscape, especially for this mod! The cityscape is included here and also available in his beautiful collection of cityscapes, which I highly recommend. Please check out Little Tee’s incredible mod here: Little Tee's Cities.
(Both mods can be used together, without any risk of incompatibility. The load order doesn’t matter.)

The room graphic was created by an artist whose profile I unfortunately couldn’t locate. I did not receive permission to use this art, so it might be removed in the future if the artist objects. The artwork is a fanmade Zerg Nest from Starcraft, created by an artist called Harbinger.
Here is a link to the original artwork:

FUTURE PLANS:
There are currently no plans to expand this mod, but that might change in the future. If anyone feels inspired to create submods with extra content, please feel free to do so and add this mod as a dependency. I will gladly promote your work alongside my other mods. :)

LIST OF MY MODS:

Some of my mods will remain private for various reasons and won’t be publicly listed. However, if your profile is set to public, feel free to send me a friend request — I’ll gladly grant you access.

COLLABORATION OPPORTUNITY
I have a wealth of creative concepts for event chains, origins, civics, and immersive story-driven content — all deeply rooted in Stellaris lore and flavor. While I understand the basics of scripting and what's technically possible within the engine, I lack the time and coding expertise to fully bring these ideas to life.

If you're a modder or scripter who enjoys the creative side of Stellaris and would like to collaborate on passion-driven projects, I'd love to work together. This is a hobby-based, non-commercial opportunity — purely for the love of world-building and game design. You'll have full creative input, proper credit, and the chance to build something unique as part of a small, like-minded team.

If that sounds interesting, don’t hesitate to reach out — let’s make something awesome together!

@w.girl27 there is one for engineers aswell. I am actually considering reworking both when I buy myself a drawing tablet.

there already is a xenomorph mod with portraits traits and all but a engineer species would be cool.

its more humanoid and closer to the models you already made but also is a chance to make a cool city set and room.

based off the HR GIGER style organic space ships they use in the movies.

It was recently brought to my attention that the original name of this mod could potentially interfere with mod load order. To prevent any issues, I’ve changed the name. Sorry for the inconvenience.
