Update: 2 Sep, 2018 @ 1:18pm

Version 1.0.1
Initial balance and quality of life patch.

Balance Improvements:

  • Essence Bolt now has a 2m area of effect.
  • Essence Bolt's damage has been reduced from 90 to 87.
  • Soul Pierce now has a 2m explode area, and still continues it's direction of travel.
  • Tormented Volley's cooldown has been reduced from 4 to 3 turns.
  • Corruption's cooldown has been reduced from 5 to 4 turns.
  • Annhiliating Purge's cooldown has been reduced from 6 to 5 turns.
  • Languish now also applies a stack of Agony.

Other Improvements:
  • Improved attack and unsheathed animations on Scythes. They still appear high on the characters back but this has to remain. This is because they must derive from Staves in order to gain Intelligence-based bonuses on randomly generated scythes (in the vendor), and Staves, unfortunately, appear high on the characters back whilst sheathed.

Odinblade's Quick Thoughts:

Due to the single-target all-in nature of Spectres, players were finding the class to run out of steam after using their 'big ticket' spells. This was an issue with the Classic version of the mod also. Although the addition of the Source skill Spread the Sickness does help remedy this by enabling the spread of Agony stacks, it still wasn't enough.

Although I have toyed with the idea of spreading Agony on non-ultimate skills, I feel this would push the class to become unbalanced and overloaded. To remedy, I have reduced the cooldowns of some skills, making them more readily available, and I have added some small AoE to certain skills, in order to increment Agony on an AoE basis.

These changes feel welcome, in my opinion, and make for a more satisfying Spectre experience. I hope you all feel the same way :)
