I wonder why the emoji was made

💠This is my least favorite emoji, it is terrible. Sure, it may look cool, but there is no reason for it to exist. It is called, and I quote, "diamond_shape_with_a_dot_inside". The fact that it doesnt even have a specific name other than a literal description of what the shape is, is evidence that it means nothing, and therefore, has no reason to exist. This emoji is a true mistake and its desire to represent fake symbols, objects, and ideologies. This emoji singlehandedly prooves that the person in charge of making these worthless symbols is utterly blind to the normal human method of communication, as no one on earth would use such a silly and meaningless symbol as this in daily conversations. The moral of the story is just, its terrible, even when i take a quick glance at this emoji, i immediately vomit cause of how disgusting this emoji is.

@Badger I'm going to have to worry about it at a later time, but I'll make a github fork eventually. I simply don't have time due to pressing needs for my server. I would however like to reconnect, as we used to be friends and worked together before. I may have questions in future or you may.

I considered adding this feature, but I am not actively developing this addon at the moment.

After going through my addons, I wasn't able to recreate my issue, so I'm not sure what exactly caused it. It works just fine now though!

Think I figured it out. One of my other addons must be conflicting with it. I just started a singleplayer game with only your addon installed and it worked fine. I'll try to figure out which one broke it

Issue still occurred in singleplayer sadly, but I'll go ahead and clear all my addons, then give yours another try first

I've looked over the video and I can't see anything obvious that could be the cause.

Hi! I didn't notice any errors in console really aside from the ttt stuff (which we are working to get rid of), but I did record me trying to open the chatbox anyways. YouTube is being stupid so I sent it via discord, but hopefully this link should work, if not I can add you and send it directly.

Hi Kaifloof. The workshop version should work fine for dedicated servers.
I am currently using it on my own dedicated server.

Could you possibly send me a screenshot/video and check console for errors?

Really like the idea of your addon, however it seems to break chatbox entirely on my dedicated server. I can't even type and nothing comes up. Do I need to manually install it instead of using workshop to get it to work?

The playermodel doesnt raise the hand when typing

Normally, when you start to type, your playermodel makes an animation where the hand raises up, this addon will prevent them from doing that animation.

Why am i saying this? Because im using this addon of Chat Bubbles: https://test-steamproxy.haloskins.io/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=125976234 and because it doesn't do the animation or there must be something in this EmojiChat addon, it also prevents of showing the chat bubble from that addon.

During testing, I have unsubscribed from the addon multiple times and I have not experienced this problem.
The addon doesn't create or modify any files.
Installation of the addon is handled by the Steam Workshop so I don't know how you ended up with this problem.

Fixed, your add-on has acted like a bug and added itself to one of the addons, I spent 2 hours looking for an infected add-on

Are you subscribed to a collection with the addon in it?
Did you manually download the files and put them in your garrysmod folder?

That's very strange. The chatbox shouldn't touch any code which affects DarkRP job categories.
I've tested it with vanilla DarkRP and it seemed to work fine.
The chatbox might be conflicting with another addon you have.

I'll play around with it in DarkRP some more. See if I can reproduce the problem.

It's just that when I have the addon installed, every job goes into an Other Category. If I uninstall it, it fixes it back to how it was. This was in a darkrp server.

When using the addon in multiplayer, the categories used to define jobs and other tabs in the f4 menu are erased, and every job is set to "Other." Just thought I'd let you know. :)
