Hi, thank you for the mod, it's been the one thing I could never uninstall from my server! Well, until recently, as it appears the most recent GMod update broke something, as this mod ceased its function. Every time we write commands, they paste themselves to the chat, forcing us to use the console to remain quiet.

oh, I didn't know that xd
so thanks

Johnny Sins, you can already do that in ULX by setting the ulx_logecho convar to 0

can you somehow make messages like "You has set spawn of xxx" or "You set the hp for xxx to 100" hide as well? bcs this is what I'm looking for right now

Wow, you are correct. it's in the settings without me realizing it. Anyway thanks for the help XD.
I'll probably add this addon to my server. :p2chell:

You can just add it to your server's config file: garrysmod/cfg/server.cfg
or search for this option in ULX Menu, not quite sure if it's there tho.

Quite the sneaky combination. Although, you'd have to type ulx_logecho 0 in the console each time the server is up right?
Name  [skapare] 25 apr, 2020 @ 13:29
Yes, combining both, this addon and ulx_logecho 0 will result in nothing being printed to the chat.
The Đoctor 25 apr, 2020 @ 12:54
Alright so downloading this will hide the message for example, !noclip, when I type it in the chatbox. And also change ulx_logecho to 0 in the settings to stop the command from broadcasting in the chatbox aswell, correct?

Please read the description, you can already do that.
Using this addon along with ulx_logecho set to 0 will entirely hide the commands from printing in chat.
You don't even have to use the addon assuming that you will use console to execute the commands from, then setting ulx_logecho will be sufficient.

Well actually an addon that completely hides the ulx commands when you use it would be neat too. I'm just looking to make it completely unnoticable that you just executed a command.

PS. If you want I can very easily add a command to toggle between hiding and showing the original messages.

This addon does not anything to ULib or ULX, it's only modifying the ULib defined command's properties.

Execution of the command will happen no matter what this property is set to. For example if the command uses ulx.fancyLogAdmin to print info to the chat like You set the hp for Yourself to 100 , it will not be affected by the 'hide' property.

The 'hide' property affects only the user's original message (for example !hp ^ 100 . That and only that is what this addon affects. If installed it will suppress that message going through to everybody and that includes the player who wrote the message himself.

Most messages in ULib have this property set to 'false' by default so I don't quite understand why would you need an addon that does the opposite of this one, besides why have 2 messages (user's original one and ulx.fancyLogAdmin) the printing in the chat?
It only makes it looks like a spambox more than a chatbox.
The Đoctor 24 apr, 2020 @ 13:35
Just to make sure I understand, changing that would disable the command from broadcasting it to everyone on the server?

Actually it would be pretty easy, only thing you'd have to modify is line 11 of the init.lua file, changing the boolean from 'true' to 'false'.
You can find the source files for this addon on GitHub, link in the description

hm, I was actually looking for an addon that does the opposite of this. Cool anyway!

It affects all players
FentYeen 22 feb, 2020 @ 11:16
does this hide commands from all players (admins, super, etc) or just users?
Yun Yuuzhan 20 feb, 2020 @ 10:24
Good job.
