To make it work with latest version on_actions scope must be changed to on_added_to_leader_pool, and events themselves rewritten by using new syntax set_gender = male/female. At least I've managed to update it that way to work again.

As far as I can tell, this will work fine with 3.2's addition of basically having a mono-gendered faction. You can even select one of the mono-gender things at the start of the game, and then apply one of the policies, and it will function fine.

For example: If you select all female at the start, and then switch to all male scientists for example, you'll only be getting male scientists.

I start a new game and already the men are all gone AND the policies are set to female only.

It's going to be 00_policies_genders.txt
You'll want to find the p_<leader>_female options and under the AI_weight = { put in the following:
modifier={
factor = 100
is_ai = no
}

And make sure to take out the same modifier from the p_<leader type>_neutral one as well.

If you still have trouble look me up on discord. It'll be easier to help you there.

when i start a new game, all is set to female already and i just have to enable
the policies? ( and/or how to make those enabled already aswell?)

I wish we had a trait gender mod. Policy mods are ok, but traits just add more flavor to species, especially when the AI can randomly get them.

Envoys are weird. I don't know why, but they don't seem to function like the other leaders.

It works well in my game play, as soon as I change my polices in day 1, inadequate leaders disappear(except for the envoys) and I get cash refunded. There is a trivial issue with the envoys and they do affect first election in the oligarchy for some what unknown reason, other than that, everything works well.

I'll look into that when I have a chance. I'm a bit busy right now and haven't had time to look at my mods, but I will look into it when I can.

I'm aware of the Envoy issue. Envoys were screwy when I first built the mod, and I haven't had a chance to look into things since Envoys got a bit of an overhaul in 3.0.

Just tested game with only this mod enabled
Firstly laws dont replace leaders with selected genders (at start you just dont have enough energy to hire new)
Secondly law that should restrict envoys genders dont work at all
Thirdly somehow this mod forced envoys to be valid choice to choose from in oligarchy elections (maybe even in others)

It's fixed, but my original thought process on it was that if a society is based entirely on merit, it wouldn't care about the sex of certain office holders.

IMO it should be like that across the board, or (preferably) not at all. The state might be based on merit within one gender only. Odd concept maybe, but most empires are alien, after all.

There is one mod from Etulios, her Cecaelia, that have a non-descript Gender.

And I know your pain, Golanx. No cute succubus species out there, so I'm stuck with Anime Portraits 2.5 which has a oni, demons, akuma, and succubi and I get slapped with some of the leaders' details stating "This leader is male."

As far as I know, there isn't a way to have Asari-esque mono-sex species. It's either the two biological sexes (Males and Females) or no genders or sexes what-so-ever (for Lithoids and the like). I think that specific flag is buried a bit deeper than us mods can go.

any way to take this and make it like a species trait? my Asari roleplay is messed up when i see male pronouns, also several species of insects create mostly females and use Males exclusively for studding and that roleplay would also be nice

The civics (and the ethos) do play into the AI weights a bit. For example, "Beacon of Liberty" and "Meritocracy" make the AI lean more towards a non-discriminatory policy, while less "idealistic" civics have them lean more towards discriminatory policies, which hare further influenced by the gender of the ruler.

AI have weights which determine how they place the policies.

However, due to some screwiness with democratic nations and political factions, rulers are sadly unaffected by this mod (and by extension, the main mod). There is no policy for rulers. So, the best I can offer you is to periodically pause your game and swap over to the AI faction with the console and check in on their heir. If it's not what you want, you can just use the console again to "kill" the heir and let fate take it's course.

Not sure why... But this mod is no longer working for me.
The policies don't show up at all.
Even when turning only this mod on and starting a new game up.

It was working back on Nov. 1st.

*scratches head*

Any thoughts, anyone? I'm at a lost.

It's weird that you can't be subbed to both. Maybe I'll tweak some of the naming and stuff in the Lite version which will allow you to be subbed to both. I'll ask around the modding den. It's screwy though that even if the mod is disabled, the game still gets confused like that.

Nevermind I'm foolish - this Mod Interface for the Multiple Playsets Has TWO Enable/Disable Systems - One for the playset itself and one for the individual mods, so this could be resolved by removing the Lite and Main Versions from each others playsets instead of disabling the individual mods :/

That fixed it, sort of...I would still prefer to be able to sub to both and choose differing playsets (I assume this is because you cross-referenced data from one mod to the other without creating a truly new mod for the lite version :/)

Unsubscribe, don't just disable, unsubscribe from the non-lite version and try the lite version.
