This now functions again.

I looked into allowing the player to take more than one genetic ascension tradition, but it looks fairly messy at the moment. Probably best to leave it as is.

so this mod directly let you use BioMorphosis and Psionic Ascension Perk at the same time right?
you don't need to use other mod like All Ascension Path from Draconas at the same time right?

I have Teachers of the Shroud Origin, psionics tradition unlocked,and when I take the Engineered Evolution perk I lose access to the Psionic Mastery and Mind Over Matter edicts.

And yes, I can confirm that those events have some odd ascension-blockers for seemingly no reason. The entire NOR-section can be removed, as the "correct" ascension is already required to unlock the events to begin with. It's a very odd thing for Paradox to leave in there, and completely superfluous other than to frustrate attempts to have multiple ascension path perks.

I had troubles following what @Sledjer said at first, just copy-pasting and searching, and although obvious, I'll have to point it out: He means "can_harvest_dna", not "can harvest_harvest_dna". :D

Literally every one of the events has those checks. The important part is scripted_triggers/05_scripted_triggers_traits.txt, where can harvest_harvest_dna and can_harvest_parts are problematic.

Noticed a bit of an issue with the special cybernetic/machine leviathan traits. The event to unlock them has what I assume is a failsafe that checks that you don't have one of the wrong ascension paths, but this means its impossible for empires that picked both paths to get the event option.

I'm having a few problems when combining genetic and synthetic path. Synthetic yield agenda doesn't appear in the agendas list and synth assimilation is blocked by bio assimilation for hive minded pops.
Also there's possible mod conflict with ZOFE and the FE robot assembly building it gives.(without materialist ethic the building disappear from planet building list even though it shouldn't)

Hi, love your mod, wanted to ask, how does it interact with the cybernetic creed origin, I wanted to do a cyber/genetics empire for ultimate mastery over the "body" so wanted to check how it would work, since the origin says it blocks out all other ascensions

Oh one more thing: It looks like you absolutely HAVE to get the bio ascendancy first before doing any others. Again, this is also to help anyone who is having similar issues.

Well on the plus side, absolutely unsurprisingly I'm sure, it's definitely not your mod lol. It seems to be a conflict with AT LEAST the mod Plentiful Traditions. Why it's conflicting however, I'm not entirely sure. Or rather, I'm not sure why that mod is still managing to overwrite your mod even though I have your mod at the absolute bottom of the load order. Don't suppose you could make a patch haha? Shit I'd toss you $20 for one lmao.

Regardless, apologies if my shit was coming off as whining I was just trying to help. Hope this helps someone else at the least!

I don't know what to tell you. Either you have an ancient version of this mod installed and it needs to be nuked, or you have some other mod overwriting this one through file overrides.

I can also confirm that this does not seem to be working. I have a fairly small mod list all things considered but I couldn't tell you what is or isn't affecting it. I put your mod at the very bottom of my load order so it can overwrite everything else however and in 3 separate games it has never activated.

I picked psionic in 2 of the games and bio in 1 but no dice either way.

@Estemon @CrusaderJooJ666 @DiofyZz I am not able to replicate this. It is possible you are using an old version of the mod, you can try unsubscribing and resubscribing. Or perhaps purging the mod from your drive if it persists.

Make sure my patch is loaded before this mod or nothing will change.

Having same issue. I took psionic ascension and unable to pick bio ascension afterwards. I think this mod also removed tech prerequirements for all 3 ascensions.

@Knight Arthuria erf, yeah. Bio ascendancy shouldn't actually block / be blocked by anything, but it only makes sense for a couple of Machine Empires to take it. Then again they tend to be pretty strong as is.

I should totally fix that pic. It actually was never fully working properly, some things kept breaking. But you should be able to combine bio with either cyber or psi ascendancy just fine.

Ah I see it now "with *MOST* other ascendancies", I just assumed it was broken as in previous versions it allowed one to get all 3, also in the image it shows off having Psi-Bio-Cyborg all at once

Err yes, as the description says it lets you combined biological ascension with most others. That is all I am comfortable with keeping updated. Combining cybernetics and psionics needed me to break a lot of files and it was more than I wanted to do for this.

After doing some trouble shooting I've discovered that Psionics and Cybernetics are 100% mutually exclusive in this mod. I started a totally vanilla game where the only mods I had installed were ~~Ariphaos Unofficial Patch (3.9) and this mod here, in that order in my modlist too. And found myself unable to grab both Psionics and Cybernetics, I was able to get Genetic Ascension and 1 other but not all 3

In my current game the only mods that I'm using that should affect species modification and Ascension perks are Lustful Void, Ascension perks Broadened, and !99 Trait Picks. I'll do some trouble shooting on my end by disabling those mods and see if it works or not

I think the Engineered Evolution perk wasn't updated since it cant be picked up before unlocking the tech.

A warning: after I update this to 3.9, this will no longer be fully backwards compatible. If you are playing this in 3.8 or earlier, you will need to add the tech options granted by ascension manually.

I had to remove cybernetic-psionic compatibility, unfortunately. It involved making more edits to the code than I was currently comfortable with. However more things are compatible with biological ascension, now.

Hello there
I'd like to report the same issue as the guy bellow.
I am using the Patch as well, however if I take Flesh is Weak after Psionics, the Psionic trait gets deleted when the Cybernetic project gets completed.

Also the Psionic trait doesn't seem to be applying to leaders if another ascendancy trait is already there.
This has been tested on a playset with only the patch and this mod installed.
