does this fix the missing textures on the l4d1 ports?

this shouldn't be affecting Dark Carnival, as it wasn't affected by anything missing
we at least haven't heard of any problems with other campaigns from others yet
double check you aren't having conflicts with other addons
and especially not having any other so called "missing content fixes"
oh, and I did get your other message, but removed it to avoid unnecessary attention
i feel it's best to let it go, move on from it, just keep ignoring and reporting
users like that are probably on some radar and watch list with Steam

there are some missing textures on the dark carnival concert. I don't know how to explain it but you can basically see it when your on the seats.

Ok, I found a specific example of the missing wooden pallet texture in the Die Trying campaign. I have only this content fix and the campaign in my addons. Early in chapter 2, you'll descend a latter into an open alleyway: there's a purple pallet on the opposite end of the alley.

I've only encountered one missing texture with this mod, which is for a stack of wooden pallets. It tends to appear in older custom maps, though I can't name one off the top of my head.

the bushes (like on The Last Stand) there textured is messed up and a ruble pile shows up as pink when some light hit's them

i don't know if this mod is the issue but the default map the parish has some textures missing in the cafe kitchen on the ceiling the textures are black and purple checkered textures for some reason

heard on another random mod this affects pistols?
no it doesn't change anything with guns or other items
if this did more than originally intended then we'd have comments about it

rather certain it only matters client side.
it's just simply restoring content missing/removed from the game.
whether it's from the original first Left 4 Dead or later DLC such as Cold Stream.
all you'd need concerned about regarding servers are versions of maps and campaigns.

I'm running a dedicated server. Should I install this addon to the dedicated server or just the client side?

Installing this per instructions fixed pretty much all of the issues I had with Back to School and Day Break. Thank you very much for this effort.
ONe question however. In Back to School map 6, I had a texture glitch on a tree directly in front of the school (where one of the mass graves is). Restarting the game and restarting the map, the glitch was gone and the tree had a the expected texture. Is there an explanation as to how it could happen?

i'm afraid i'd have to be biased due to what i explained earlier and say only this.
but it depends on what exactly is missing, why it's missing, and where it's from.

Am I supposed to download only this or should I also download the ones with volumes?

If there are still any models or textures missing, let us know.
We will do proper investigations to see if it's the game or the maps/campaigns.
Until then, be sure to check if there's problems with any other addons you're using.

Notice:
It is recommended to ignore the so called "integrated" version recently uploaded.
Not only did they not contact us, but it's also due to what I already explained before.
Even if they somehow "fixed" the real problem(s), there still wasn't permission.
And this already "integrated" the real "official" versions.
This still remains the definitive actual fix of actual missing or removed content.
Others don't follow the same standards.

However, I have the impression that there are still some textures missing. Tree textures.

That's just a random notice.
Not directed to anyone in particular

and the second so called fix i already discussed.
it's not fixing anything legitimately missing, it's more like a DLC.
all it does is throw in random Half-Life 2 content, but it's not meant for everything.
the second one also requires unnecessary extra steps defeating the point of workshop.
it's also for anything Half-Life 2 related themed, it's not an actual "missing content fix".
the problem it tries to fix is files of models and stuff having the same filenames.
and that's why its content goes missing but it's not really missing, it's conflicting.
this is an easy fix on the end of the author who ported the content as they could rename.
mine combines this one with Rayman's which is content actually missing.
as described, not ported over or actually removed.
if something else is still missing then it's a fault or oversight from an author.
