This mod is really amazing, great work! I have one request though to make it even better. Would it be possible to replace the sound of the "matchlock gun" with the firing sound of the "musket" in Vanilla Weapons Expanded? I think that sound is much more powerful, satisfying, and just much better overall than the current muffled & weak version. Would improve my immersion a ton :D

@Cryofwar They probably mean the old version since the mod changed ownership between 1.4 and 1.5. Just ignore it.

Hello, thank you for making such a amazing mod, however I continuously encounter the Rimpy missing Vanilla Base Gen dependencies error, I see in the FAQ you state Rimpy pulls old Steam data but is there any other way around this? Its quite annoying.

It's 30 to 69 f. Or -1 to 23 c

The mod I Piggy backed off of has issues with temps being displayed for whatever reason so I wrote it out above.

I'm having problems with the sake, it says to start fermenting I need degrees of -1 degree to 23 degrees fahrenheit, but then after I do that, it says it'll spoil because it's inadequate temperatures, and says to keep fermenting it needs temperatures of 30 to 69 degrees fahrenheit

@HentaiHamster No, but it does break faction generation so factions with unique apparel and weapons won't spawn correctly. If you want to use it with Rimedieval then you ViralReaction's fork that fixes this.

This seems to add a new favored weapons option, but It seems that it can't be added to an ideoligion and only be found on a preexisting ideoligion

Would you ever consider adding a Mempo? I have nothing to really protect Samurai faces which match the armor.

The description says it needs Vanilla Factions Expanded (probably a typo) and in the right of the Steam page it says it needs Vanilla Expanded Framework, but in RimPy says it needs "Vanilla Base Generation Expanded". Do I also need Vanilla Base Generation Expanded?

Few requests:
- Can you increase the stats of the top samurai armour at the same level of the marine armour or more?
- What do you think to add Japanese folkloristic creature as a map animals? Japanese folklore is full of ghost, demons and other creatures. Demon like Oni can be a faction and do rides :)

Hey great mod!!

I just have a small issue.
Once I see the raid from these factions, I see big red and X on few pawns. I think this is a bug or missing something? This mod doesn't need any other mods for texture right?

@Chris Ben'wah it doesn't play nice with Rimedieval at all anymore than any other faction mod with unique clothes and weapons does. I recommend using ViralReaction's Fork of Rimedieval since it removes the functions that break faction mods. {LINK REMOVED}

Might be interesting to add something like the system from Expanded Classical where you can get the allegiance of the Daimyo and become Shogun.

Actually on further testing it might actually just be the aerial vehicles. A normal caravan and a land vehicle caravan loads the map just fine.

I think your basegen might be broken. At first I thought it was some other mod breaking it but everytime I try to attack an honorless shogunate base the game throws a red error at me and the map never loads. I tested it with only this mod and vanilla vehicles expanded and all the prerequisites those have loaded and it still did it.

@Trickity: Thanks for the confirmation, but I can't use a mod which RimPy marks with a clear error. I have almost 500 of them, so managing a list of such exceptions is out of the question, sadly.
I've tried figuring out why RimPy thinks so in the first place (and hopefully fix it), but failed. Any advice?

One thing I've recently come to really appreciate about this mod is that Cherry Blossom trees go really well with Packed Dirt to beautify ourdoor areas that don't ever need to be cleaned, just have a few trees spaced out for them and you can make a beautiful outdoor recreational room or dining area that all the colonists will love.

It gives you a reason to make unroofed/minimally roofed court and plaza "rooms" in areas with a suitable climate.

Incidentally, while now unrelated since the update, the Big and Small Framework with Big & Small Yokai and Big & Small Vampires and the Undead have all been updated so they no longer have the error reports on startup.

Also you need Erin's Japanese Furniture to build most of the Edo themed furniture and some of the structures like Bed Mats and Edo Themed Doors.

I used to use the edo themed expansion with the redundancy patch but the redundancy patch is out of date, but with Erin's Japanese Furniture, it has almost everything I remembered from playing back in the day.

rimpy is using old data from steam, that mod is not needed. it was some ancient code I used to need but yanked out back in 1.3 or something I cant remember

RimPy reports that the mod is missing a dependency: Vanilla Base Generation Expanded. This mod is not listed as a dependency, so I wonder if it's correct.
Curiously enough, I do have VBGE active, but the error still comes up. I suspect your mod might point to the old version of VBGE, whereas version 1.5 is now a new mod: https://test-steamproxy.haloskins.io/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3209927822

I had never heard of Big and Small - Yokai before, but it seems to have errors of it's own and installing it doesn't help with the error messages from T'd mod.

@Apoc_Raz As already mentioned further down Vanilla Base Generation Expanded is not a dependency for this mod anymore. This is a rimpy issue, so you can just ignore it.

When I try to load this mod it indicates it needs "vanilla base generation" I'm currently using the version of that for 1.5 but it seems to want the version for 1.4 according to rimpy. Not sure if this is a problem on my end or yours.
