Having the same issues as @Ninjatorak , engine just randomly stalls at any throttle amount and it is not an exhaust or temperature issue.

does this ecu work on marine engines?

Hello @Sigi, you are probably using the generator clutch node to control your clutch, rather than the correct node. You can disable the generator mode in the microprocessor settings and leave the generator clutch output disconnected for easier install

Hello I've been trying to use your ECU and I ran into a problem
I set everything up, the engine correctly sits Idle at whatever I tells it, the clutch engages at given rps and given throttle to 1, the clutch goes up, speeding the truck... up to a point of around 0.5. The clutch doesn't go any further than that and my truck is very slow.
RPS at crankshaft ~10
RPS after clutch ~ 2.5
What's the reason? How do I make it go sonic?

Hello @TurtleMoose, glad you figure it out. It's a complicated ECU with advanced features...
Cooling with seawater is no longer an option. Using Air Scoop Intake for water intake and face it forward helps pushing the seawater at 40L/s thru the coolant manifold, rather than 10L/s.

Feedback: works great (after i figured out what i was doing wrong lol) I just wish cooling worked better in general because my engines exploded

Hello @NinjaTorak, if the engine stalls when you set the throttle to 0 after driving, raise your idle. The issue is given by the new fluid physics not being as consistent as it was before.

since the update of this ECU my engines seem to just cut off randomly and i cant figure out why, the temperature isnt going anywhere near 100 and the battery is fine, not sure what is going on

Hello @Gibson, thanks for the feedback. The ecu had better moments, I'm still currently tweaking it to be more stable after the continuous changes to fluids and manifolds.

RPS throttle mode sets the engine rps between idle and limiter poportionally to the lever position between 0 and 1. Direct mode just gives throttle, no filters, the engine will rev depending on the load.

I don't think I'll make the monitor bigger as the information displayed already fits. Also I'm not great designing UI, so less pixels to handle is easier for me.

This is the best ecu for Stormworks I've seen on the workshop. But I don't understand what each of the throttle modes do. And also can you make the ecu monitor compatible with all sizes.

This has been a godsent for me, though I only have one question as I got no knowledge about all of this, is there a way to introduce an RPS = 0 off-switch? Cutting off intakes doesn't appear to help after waiting for 5 minutes at full power with handbrakes.

To let you know that unit, you have to read.The information and display apparently is reversed.And I can't figure out how to fix it.Maybe you can go back and fix the issue

Hello safaricat. If you use the generator mode you'll need to have 3 clutches on your system, if not it's not installed properly.
The modular engine clutch (give constant 1) should go to other 2 indipendent clutches, one for drivetrain (connect to "Clutch") and one for the generator (connect to "Generator Clutch").

i had it working but then i attached the generators and clutch for them and now it just wont move the truck I've checked many times i'm sure its hooked up tight I've messed with the RPS setting and its still not working. it get the truck up to 4 kph instead of the 130 it used to. and it doesn't output constant RPS. it stay at idle good but i give it throttle and it goes 20 ( good ) 25 10 25 10 over and over really fast. help

This microcontroller literally revitalized my interest in this game. By far the best and most adaptable ECU I’ve ever seen. Works with large/small boats, trucks, trains karts generators and planes! It works on the smallest single cylinder engine you can get all the way up to a massive 3x3 12 cylinder engine I built for a cargo ship. 100/10

Hello timber3001, RPS set mode was in case you want to have a throttle lever that goes from 0 to 20 rps, with a lever from 0 to 1 it wouldn't start since it's below idle.
I recently removed that option as nobody was using it anyways.

Nice Ecu. Smooth engine response NA or SUpercharged. However, the RPS Set mode doesn't seem to work. Engine run fine in throttle mode, but won't even start in rps mode. Tested on 8cyl 1x1.

This ECU is amazing, i love it, great work. I just have no idea how to go reverse with it :D

and im running 2 15 cylinder 5x5 engines with forced induction XD. so back to running pipes

found the issue, not enough info out there. saw something that u also NEED 2 air intake (+ 2 pumps) each cylinder to run correctly for 5x5. for 3x3 engines need one air intake (and pump) for 2 cylinders, unkown for 1x1/1x3

ill give it try now XD iv tried like 4 so far, some will at least idle but with issues, some wont even idle XD

Hello GibiPoolside, you assumed right, I just fixed the RPS set mode to work again.
Now it is starting properly, but I couldn't replicate your issue with it revving off the chart.

I assumed that rps set mode had some internal logic so that an input of say, 5, would result in the controller moving the throttles automatically to try to set the engine rps to 5

how does RPS Set mode work? if I set a throttle lever to output min 2.5 and max 20, at 2.5 the engine revs off the chart and explodes i can move the clutch

Pumps don't provide a constant flow and pressure anymore so yes, pumping air into the air will make the engine less smooth inevitably. Having a second large pump in series will provide a more linear air flow and better performance.

So I guess that ain't the problem why my 3x3 R64 ain't working... 14RPS and Supercharged doesn't look good... Don't ask why I am making a R64, it's not for a boat or a plane.

Is it normal for the Property Toggle for Ignition, Cylinder count, afr(which idk what it is), clutch rps, generator, throttle mode, warning, idle rps, limiter rps, temperature safety and generator idle to NOT be connected to any other thing? it's like they just exist just to show that the ECU has stuff on it.

Hey soccerboy19, I'm afraid that is to little info for me to diagnose, reaching max rps at only 10% throttle is not surprising if there is no load on the engine. Whereas rps bouncing can be caused by a number of factors.
Also you really shouldn't run you engines above 20 rps.

Do you have any idea why my engine rps bounces between 15 and 30. my engine is a flat 8 exhaust says 100% and temp doesn't rise above 20. it also is reaching max rpm at only 10% throttle

problem was the battery was to low. i thought it was strange the battery was at like 0.3 added two more large battery's just as a joke and it cranked right up

i cant get my engine to start havent even been able to start it once.
I set up a pair of 3x3 V12.
Each engine has 6 fuel Manifolds, 6 air manifolds, 8 exhaust manifolds, and 2 coolant impellers on medium motors set to max always, that goes to 6 5x5 fan radiators each, oh and 6 starters each.
Hooked up the logic where the ECU said to. throttled up to max turned on fuel pumps turned the key..... it gets to 1.5RPS then falls from there, temp never passes 25
i must be doing something wrong at the basic level. the engine even says 99.5% efficiency,
13.9 AFR.

Hello Thorben2000, that is because you left the generator mode on. Turn that off

i have an issue while using the ecu on a 5x5 6 cylinder engine...i start the engine fine but imediately after it redlines the engines without any throttle input, at first i thought this was due to my air pumps so i bypased them until 20% throttle was achieved but i still have this issue plz help
