Lore
The Hydra tank series was developed in early 2110, to replace the outdated Sleipnir series. It used state of the art hover technologies, first pioneered on tanks like the Viper and Python, but taking it much further by using a much larger and more versatile chassis.

While the former tanks excelled in hit and run tactics, the Phoenix Army believed that they would fair poorly in any prolonged engagement, especially in any urban warfare setting.

With heavier armour, superior stability, and a superior weapons compliment, the Hydra is prepared to take on any challenge. It can rush troops into the thick of battle while providing fire support with rockets and guns, or it can forego carrying capacity in favour of heavier arsenals.

The SAM variant is perhaps the most deadly Hydra yet, capable of shooting down enemy aircraft with ease, striking them before the Hydra itself is even detected. It's deadliness does not stop there, however, and it is just as capable of destroying enemy ground units. In this case, its missiles can switch to a deadly topdown mode, striking targets where their armor is the weakest.

Controls

Launching Missiles
Use the targeting camera to lock on to targets or optically guide the missiles. The missiles are fire and forget, and they will impact where your camera is pointing at the time of firing (if in offset precision mode) or the target's center. It is highly recommended that you install a Camera Mod for better precision. You can also use the camera "turret" to target while driving.

FLIGHT DYNAMICS

Friction can be increased (8) for quick braking, or to apply a parking brake. Friction should always be decreased (9) to 0 when in motion. The tank will spawn with friction on so as to keep it from sliding away. Just turn it off when you're ready to move.

It is recommended you do not pilot the tank at max speed, or the machine spirits may get angry.

The missile wont fire cause he made it as part of the ship itself, connected by a conveyor instead of the usual connector+merge block (for refuel). So when you press to launch it lauches but don't detach, and you need to go on the back and manually grind the conveyor itself while the missile is on full thrust

this is a replacement for the Hydra-D. I haven't bothered including ground units in the Typhon stuff just because it means more to keep up with

Hey, is this supposed to be part of the Typhoon Initiative, or is it just a replacement for the Hydra-D since you came up with new missiles for the Eidolon?

No. More of VT49 Devastator mixed with IFT-T tank. Both from star wars

It looks like its inspired from the Deliverer hover tank of the old Renegade Legion table top game Centurion... Was it?
