Description
GNR Gresley O2 2-6-2

This mod functionally replaces my previous GNR O2. I don't know if they're compatible with one another, but this one is better in every way. Use this one.

Another Gresley engine, the O2's good for hauling freight trains. I've included a few cab and tender variants, which brings the pack up to a total of 18 options.


Features

-GNR O2 in 6 liveries
-Liveries include GNR Green, GNR Grey, LNER Green, LNER Black, BR Lined Black and BR Unlined Black.
-Full aging and recolour support. Detailed dirt and rust accumulates as the engine ages.
-Engines are sorted in depot menus to reduce purchase menu clutter.
-Small file size and .dds compressed textures, to help with load speed.
-Models have lods to help limit GPU demand from a distance.
-Placeable rail assets (also with lods) allowing placement of the full engine. Aged asset variants also included.
-Moddable engine numbers - edit the number of the train and the number will display on the side of the locomotive.

@Jamiebear: at some point I'm probably going to redo all of the LBSCR mods, and I've planned out how I'm going to do them, so....yeah they'll probably be a single pack.

But thats frankly an absolutely enormous project, and not something I'm likely to start anytime soon. :P

@hellicop: thanks for the info! I've just updated the mod again to include versions of the missing materials and textures that use their own paths etc. (because my previous method was honestly bad practice, now that I think about it) so its entirely standalone now and should work for the current stable patch as well as the beta.

Got the same issue as Norfolk_Chris
Loaded it in a clean game and got this in stdout:

WARNING: The following models were removed because they reference an invalid resource:
* vehicle/asset/LNER_O2_1_1_BR1.mdl was removed because the following resources were missing:
- res/models/material/vehicle/train/lner_flying_scotsman_v2/lner_flying_scotsman.mtl

Many more entries (for each mdl) of course, but the same error, so I kept it to this example.


Had a quick look in the mdl:
materials = { "vehicle/train/lner_flying_scotsman_v2/lner_flying_scotsman.mtl", },
mesh = "vehicle/train/LNER_O2/front_interior_lod0.msh",
name = "front_interior",

As you said in your last post, I guess this is the reference to a material definition (for the cab interior) thats comming with the new patch?

Just weird that some people can load it anyway (with visual glitches) and some outright can't?

Oh well, probably will fix itself with the patch release. :P

Minor update to fix a few small stats.

A note that for players on the current stable patch may have a texture issue with a mesh in the cab - this is a temporary issue, as the mesh uses one of the new textures being introduced in the coming patch.


@Norfolk_Chris I can't replicate the issue you're having (it works fine on my version), but it might be I changed something on my version without realising when I published the mod, so hopefully this update will fix it.

Added mod to my 1922 current map. The old 02 still there, but no sign of new version?
