Starter Trawler - Concept

Description
This is a concept trawler built for a starter dock and costs under 20k. It is a no-frills example of a functional trawler.

For this to function as a trawler you are required to have the mod Zizo's Trawler Fishing.

Update

- Optimized various things making it more operator friendly and usable as more than just a concept.
- Removed various things to be able to stay under 20k, feel free to change it however you like.

Microcontrollers

- Zizo Advanced Modular Engine Control Unit [ECU]

- BUUNUU'S 3D Map

ahh ok thank you. i was wondering what i was missing, and the way you describe it, it was skill to make a good microcontroller.

@endeyfire I don't remember specifically how I set it up at this time to give a walk through of that its going on. However when I built the ship I placed the micro-controller for the buttons and dials on that control panel. The micro-controller that sends data from the net is located on I believe the back of the net. If you look at the composite connections it may make sense.

Simply speaking the micro-controller on the net itself reads then sends/recieves data to the connector (in this case electric I believe). Then the data comes out the other connector on the rigging that sends/recieves the data to the micro-controller on the boat itself (on the control panel probably back or floor).

hey so im trying to get data from the net vehicle to my ship itself. im not familiar with data transfer in this game so could you point me to what components i need to setup to get a dial or gauge to read the nets filled amount?

@PinkPopCorn I tested it on new and old save and it still works. You are probably not putting the net low enough in the water. At 10 knots you need the "line Length" over about 10 for it to catch fish. You can find that information and how many fish are in the net at the control panel for the net rigging.

no clue if it works or not im just sailing and nothing happens

@Grevell The recent update changed the mass of hoppers so the net was floating at the surface. I updated it with a few weight blocks on the net so it will fish again. It will get a little floaty above like 10 knots but abit more weight could be added for personal preference.

for some reason, it is not possible to catch fish

1. never start a game with infinite resources. The hopper never empties :| - oops.
2. none of the "vacuums" seem to reach the bin you empty the hopper into on the boat. I might be missing a step

Thanks for the boat, I only found this game a month ago and I'm still learning the game... You can upload the picture if you like it! If I knew I would've make it in 4k :)
