Memory of 2009
Oi!
Without introduction I will get to the point.

The first Cathammer drawings that were created by my hand holding a pen took place already in 2008-2009. When in a school desk, attending high school, I scribbled various nonsense into a notebook, the pages of which today look as if they were made of parchment.
Eroded by the tooth of time.

Drawings without vision, without an idea, but at that time I played a lot of the first DoW, having fun with the strategy-warrior game, not caring too much about the lore that stood behind Space Marines and the entire Warhammer 40k Universe. At the same time, it was a period of maturation, I did not think about Cathammer drawings in any other categories than simply - just another scribble that will be covered by the next teaser I will take up.

Time passed, years passed, a decade and more.

Looking through old sketchbooks, where images of what excited me back then, I saw a drawing scribbled quickly, Cathammer 40000, Cat - Marines.

Why...

I didn't do anything with it, developed it?
Why?
I use AI for illustrations?

Because it will do it better than me.

I can sketch, give form to what I put on paper, but I can't, I can't give life - operate with colors, besides I'm not such a good drawer that I could somehow represent the visual vision of what I describe.

On my Steam profile there are arts of my authorship, where I sketched anime characters, animals, sometimes I drew portraits of friends, etc.
And yes, it's not always the case that what the AI generates is consistent with my imagination. Ultimately, my goal is to gain the approval of people more talented than me in matters of illustrating fanfiction.
People who will find the time, willingness and will swallow the joy of creating something that has its own depth. I am also aware that such work and contribution requires remuneration, which is why I have to diversify what I can afford at the moment.

Someone could write that I am taking the easy way out, that a lot can be done, you just have to get involved and act - and that's a fact.

If I tried, I would force myself, I could draw everything by hand. However, I see that it is beyond me, I am aware of my limitations. For me, giving colors is an activity that has long pushed me away from any kind of painting.

And AI replaces and accelerates the progress of completing the carefully composed lore, the specificity, coherence and uniformity of which is in the hands not of artificial intelligence but of a human. The author, who must take care that the whole does not contradict itself.
To be consistent in the adopted conference.
Because neither ChatGPT nor Llama nor Grok nor DeepSeek can handle the effort of remembering the ladder of dependencies and cause-effect sequences between characters who have their own names, domains and agendas. AI can create new content over and over again, but its abilities are illusory. They could even interfere with maintaining the continuity of the vision.

Part 10 of the Cathammer fanfic: 40,000 is coming to an end, and there is enough material for 10x or maybe even 20x as much content, which is constantly growing during the creative process.

I am publishing these pieces from my teenage years to show that the Cathammer journey has been with me for a long time.
Innocent, sparse graphics drawn from such a long time ago, which, like many others, died down when adulthood and other projects came into play, which died under the apathy of short lived enthusiasm.
Something that was synonymous with pure creativity.

Today, however, it is different.

I do not have a group of enthusiasts or people who would share the vision of fanfiction, because no one would be interested in this type of fanfiction.
Not to mention that I am aware of how poor my interpretation of WH:40k is, it does not have such depth and weight, because I did not want it to be a copy - cup for cup - of Warhammer: 40,000.

It is Cathammer: 40,000 - no more, no less.
Where similarities have a different chain of dependencies, where Allcat - is not the Emperor of Mankind because his heritage and origins are completely different,
Where the loyal and fallen Purmarchs are not mirror images of the Primarchs. Neither are the Catstartes, fallen and loyal orders the eared/whiskered/cat versions of the orders from the WH:40 canon. No.

Xenos in this universe also have their own style, and their main determinant is the different features shown, the anthropomorphisms that we give to animals, those that we humanize in the features of given species. However, here I tried to give each a distinguishing feature and even play with convention, and give my own twist.

I end this long argument with the aforementioned photos from my old, as education has it, sketchbook from the school bench.

Cathammer: 40,000

Best Regards
