I had to look at the GitHub but you need "KitchenLib" and "Harmony" for those wondering. blarglebottoms I suggest you add in the option for players to subscribe to those mods too (it doesn't prompt me at all) or at least add it into the description, thank you :)

I've heard the sound effects issue is from KitchenLib, and should hopefully be fixed next time the game updates (whenever that is).

Menu is working now. Thanks for your prompt reply.
I've noticed half of the sound effects are gone (e.g. chopping salad works, but money for serving a dish doesn't) but it's most likely one of the prerequisite mods at fault, since even when the menu was disabled the sound effects were broken anyway.

Correct, the point of the mod is to make the game easier than vanilla.

This is a difficult mod to recommend, because it changes the rougelike difficulty of the core game by protecting players from the Game Over.

No Patience Penality
takes away the Game Over, for literal babies.
Lose Coins - Fixed
is a very easy difficulty tweak, many will get very far in the game with this.
Lose Coins - Progressive
seems like the casual difficulty that the game can believably have as a nice balance, giving the coins a purpose as collateral for failing the main objective.
Lose Coins - All
is pretty much Sonic the Hedgehog rules. Still gives protection, so still an easier experience than vanilla.
3 Strikes
is a little bland, perhaps as a clearer indication of failure without much consequence, but perhaps can be more effective when combined with a coin penalty as well, considering that the consequence that SHOULD happen without the mod is... a Game Over.

Running into an issue where we can just let the timer tick down 5/6 times and then it finally ends in 3 strikes mode. not sure how to diagnose the issue

Yes (I was the host lol), but we tested it on the first day. I saw a previous comment that it counts day 4 onwards, so that might be the issue

Just to check, did the host have that option selected?

If yes, I can try that option out in multiplayer this weekend and fix it, if I find any issues.

@blarglebottoms I was thinking about having the same options, but based off a percentage of the total coin amounts. For example, it could be a progressive 5%, 10% of the current amount of coins.
This way, it would be more challenging when you have large amounts of coins already.

Only the host needs the mod for it to work, and only their settings should be used.

There's a minor bug in the way the game displays negative coin amounts that is fixed by having the mod installed (shows as "--5" instead of "-5" if you're the client, for example), but not having it doesn't affect the functionality.

一个简单的模式,使客户失去耐心更宽容一点。
在Mod设置菜单中有几种可用的模式:
*休赛期将正常运作,不会受到国防部的保护。
*无耐性罚则-当顾客失去耐性时,不会被判罚款。
*丢失硬币-修复:每次顾客失去耐心时丢失硬币(5/10/15/20)。如果你没有足够的钱,游戏就结束了
*丢失硬币-进展:当顾客第一次失去耐心时,丢失(5/10/15/20)硬币,(10/20/30/40)
第二,(15/30/45/60)第三,等等。如果你没有足够的时间,游戏就结束了。
*丢失硬币-指数:第一次失去硬币(5/10/15/20),第二次(10/20/30/40),第3次(20/40/60/80)等等。如果你没有足够的钱,游戏就结束了。
*3次罢工:如果3名顾客在一天内失去耐心,游戏就结束了。
对于多人游戏:如果客户端没有模块,那么终日收入屏幕和货币弹出窗口将略有不同,但只有主机才需要模块才能正常工作。

I should be able to make that an option, yeah. I've been thinking about turning that feature off for turbo, since restarting the whole day if you mess up at the end is a lot worse than losing a little money in that mode, imo. Just making it an option would be easier. :D

I think displaying the cost is a really good idea, and I'll add it to my list, but I might not be able to get to it for a while. I think there are still issues getting custom views like that to work well (or at all) in multiplayer.

Would it be possible to change this to a setting that you can enable or disable? I honestly thought the mod was broken until I saw this comment since I was testing it out on day 1. Also would it be possible to display in the corner of the screen what the cost will be the next time a customer loses their patience?

Based on a conversation I saw on the modding discord, this is probably an issue in KitchenLib, and they're still looking into it. I believe I saw that changing the meal when the cats are waiting can also lead to a crash.

If you don't serve the meals on time to the cats in the headquarter (didn't test in practice mode) it seems like the mod makes the game crash.

Ah, that makes sense, thanks for the insight. I could be wrong, but I don't think workshop mods fully load until after singleplayer or multiplayer is selected. Either way, yes, the menu is only available after selecting one of those.

I personally only see it once I have started a game. Try creating a singleplayer or multiplayer game first. I don't know if this is a bug or by design.

I'm not seeing Overcooked Patience v0.6.1 appear in the mod options. Even on its own. So i dont have the ability to set the strike system. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Mod updated to version 0.6.1.

Updates include:
* Strike counter (used for progressive, exponential, and 3 strikes mode) should now get saved, so, if "Reset each day" is disabled, this progress will get loaded. After updating, the counter will be at zero for existing saves, but it should save any strikes that are made after the update. Thanks Sancho!
* The mod will now let the game handle patience normally for the first 3 days, since it gives you free restarts during those days. Thanks feildmaster!

The progressive/exponential strikes will restart when the game is exited. I think I might know the solution to persist it, but I'll have to try it out.

Hey Sancho, thanks! Hmm, I don't think I've seen that, but I might've just missed it. Do they only reset when you load a save with the save system mod? Or does it reset every time you quit and restart the game?

Really liking the new options! One thing I noticed is that the progressive/exponential carryovers will reset if you quit and load your game. Again I'm not sure if this is related to the save system mod that I was using.

Mod updated to version 0.6.0.

Updates include:
* Menu reorganized. "Progressive", "Exponential", "0", and "All" for lose coins have been moved to "Mode"
* When "Progressive" and "Exponential" are selected, the "lose coins" option will determine how many coins you lose initially (previously it was always 5)
* An option has been added to reset strikes each day. For progressive/exponential modes, this means you can have the penalties carry over between days. Changing modes mid-day without turning this back On and starting a new day (to clear strikes) might have unexpected results if switching to 3 strikes mode.

Note: The mod will try to migrate your current settings to the new format, but it might be a good idea to double-check before starting.

you know, I almost added an exponential mode for fun at the same time as Philadelphus' mode, but I thought it might be too wild. I'll go ahead and add that. :)
