I sometimes don't get notifications for comments on steam, no idea why, but unfortunately it seems to have happened here until Thaxll'ssillyia commented.
I don't have the time to go test if it has been fully fixed, but if not please contact me, preferably on discord or through direct message on steam.
Anyway, for those who get CTD, go to mod directory with events, should be something like
\3275068730\events\MAR_museum_rifts_event.txt
open that file and in "astral_rift_event" with "id = MAR_museum_rift_event.3" (around line 102) comment out or delete entire section that triggers "MAR_museum_rift_event.5", code to comment//delete:

name = MAR_museum_rift_event.3.b

set_next_astral_rift_event = { id = MAR_museum_rift_event.5 }

this will remove the problematic section that causes CTD and at least you will be able to finish the rift.
Make sure you have the newest version of this mod.
Have you unsubsribed and then resubscribed to make sure you have the newest version?

MAR_labyrinth_rift_event.61 doesn't have "finish_astral_rift = yes"

Thank you! Thank you so much! I had accidentally made Starless Skies and Clockstopper have the Frozen World starting event. They literally were no in the game.

Thanks for pointing those out! I'll see if I can add and fix them before 3.13 if possible.
Idyllic Valley has a bunch of text issues:
- Two of the descriptions' gestalt empire versions are empty strings
- A few of the dialog options missing full stops or other punctuation at the end; the description text for 'Shelter' (MAR_valley_rift_event.10.desc.default) is similarly truncated [imgur.com]

Astral rifts randomly spawn throughout the game, but you can only manually open 4 with the astral splitting astral action.
It is very much possible to get more than 4 astral rifts during a game, so if you only ever get 4 then you're most likely just very unlucky.
More claimed systems should give you a higher chance of getting more astral rifts throughout a game.
What this mod adds is 8 rifts that may or may not spawn.
